Microgaming Announce Details Of New Online Slot – Hound Hotel
The Isle of Man based online slots game developer Microgaming Software Systems Ltd has just announced that they will be releasing a brand new title in the month of June, 2015, which will be going by the name of Hound Hotel.
The new slot is expected to make its initial debut on Microgaming’s Quickfire platform before being farmed out to online casino’s all over the world, and will follow on from other new Microgaming titles Rabbit in the Hat, which has just gone live; and Ariana and Big Chef, which have been slated for May, 2015 releases.
As we are still a ways out from the slots actual online debut we are operating on scant information here, but Microgaming have been kind enough to deliver the world an early peek courtesy of a preview video which they have just posted online at their official YouTube video channel, and which we have included below for you viewing pleasure.
Microgaming’s New Online Slot Title – Hound Hotel
Microgaming’s latest online slot – Hound Hotel – is a 5 reel, 25 payline possible game which features a bunch of well-heeled pooches living it up in some 5 star accommodation.
What exactly Microgaming is trying to achieve with this theme we are not sure, but let’s just chalk it down to some good old fashion fun which soon becomes enjoyable enough once you get used to dogs swooning about in fur coats and smoking jackets.
Speaking of which the games reels are filled with these cashed up critters who take on all manners of personas, and they are ably supported by the good old Jack to Ace number sequence.
While we are exploring themes of luxury, it certainly seems that the team from Microgaming have been generous with their extra features in this slot, as Bonus Game, Expanding Wilds, Free Spins, Multipliers, Scatters, Split Wilds (take a breath…) Super Stacked Wilds, Wild Reels and Super Wild Reels all appear in this game.
We still don’t have enough information to make a full assessment of all of these features, but we have been able to glean a little bit about how the Free Spins feature is triggered along with what the Bonus Game that is available in this game might contain.
Hound Hotel’s Bonus Game And Free Spins
We can confirm that the landing of 3 or more Scatter symbols on the reels will trigger the Free Spins feature in the Hound Hotel game.
The Bonus Game appears to be made up of 3 floors or levels which the player can enter and make a choice from a large amount of options that are on display at each door, which seem to double up as accommodation for the well-heeled hounds that are in residence.
Floor 1 contains Expanding Wilds, Split Wilds, Super Stacked Wilds, Wilds Reels and Super Wilds Reels.
Floor 2 contains a Multiplier and Floor 3 quite likely contains the Free Spins element.
Our Initial Verdict On The Hound Hotel Slot?
While we can only work on first impressions at this stage, Microgaming might actually be onto a winner with Hound Hotel.
Sure the theme is a little unusual, which may or may not work against the slot, but once you get into the play and are exposed to the unusually large amount of extra features that are available to the player, things are starting to look pretty impressive for this slot.
I guess we will have to wait for the slots full online release in June, 2015, before we can deliver our full final verdict, but at this stage we think we’ll be dusting off the tweed jacket, tapping out the pipe and be heading down to the cocktail lounge to partake in some pleasantries with the high and mighty guests of the Hound Hotel.
