Fairy Ring Slots

Fairy-RingFairy Ring is a very simple slot machine, which seems to try to be relaxing and easy on the eyes, using indeed fairies and nature as inspiration. With a magical forest being the background for the action, plus the fairies which appear both behind the reels and on them, Fairy Ring has managed to create a better atmosphere inside than 90% of the slots that come with as many reels as it has. It’s a decent attempt on Microgaming’s part, at least design wise.

Is an en enchanting theme like the one from Fairy Ring enough to make a 3 reel & 3 line game interesting? Microgaming added in it a wild symbol as well, along with a $25,000 top jackpot, so on paper it already sounds like a decent game.

Features of Fairy Ring

The slot offers its players a single feature, one that is represented by the Fairy image itself. It is both the symbol to award the biggest payouts of Fairy Ring, and the wild.

In its capacity as the wild, the Fairy is going to take the place of other symbols and help you create new combinations, but only if one or two wilds are present on a payline. If one wild is there, the other two positions have to be occupied by matching icons. If two wilds are on the line, whatever regular icon is on the third position will determine what role the Fairies will take.

With three wilds, they don’t act as wilds anymore, being used to trigger the top jackpot instead. You’ll learn more about it below, but suffice it to say right now that the payline on which the top jackpot combo forms is very important, the payouts varying between 1,500 and 5,000 coins.

Betting options and jackpots

Fairy Ring has a betting system that is often seen in slot machines with 3 lines, with each one getting a single coin when they’re active. These coins are worth between $0.25 and $5, with the maximum bet being $15 for all three lines.

You’re going to win a different amount from the same combo of three Fairies, depending on the line on which they appear. The most you’re going to win is 5,000 coins ($25,000), on the third line. The second line gets you only 3,000 coins, while the first one awards 1,500 coins.

Design and symbols

The fairy themed forest in the background is probably the best part about this design. It really does look like an enchanted forest, with flowers, toadstools and bright little fairies flying around. The symbols on the paytable are about half themed, half Bar icons. The layout is the standard one, used in most classic titles from Microgaming, with the logo and the reels on the left, while the paytable is on the right side.

Symbols: Fairy (5,000 coins, wild), Butterfly (300 coins), Toadstools (150 coins), Three Bar (80 coins), Two Bar (30 coins) and One Bar (15 coins).

Is It Worth Playing?

If the enchanted forest look works for you, it’s a pretty typical 3 reel/3 line game, so you know already what kind of gameplay you can expect.

The Fairy Ring slot machine is offered through the Microgaming platform, so if you want to play it for real or just to practice, look out for casinos that use it.
