Franken Cash Slots

Franken-CashFranken Cash is a slot themed around Frankenstein, the famous novel written by Mary Shelley. The monster in the novel is not called Frankenstein, instead that being the name of the scientist that creates it. The monster is created through a technique that uses electricity and which imbues life into non-living matter. It’s quite a popular novel, though not a happy one, and Frankenstein’s monster has been used as a main character in a lot of scary slot machines released in the past.

A total of 20 lines are available in Franken Cash, a modern 5 reel slot machine. There are also bonus games, free spins and scatter symbols, plus some multipliers that can prove quite useful. Payouts of up to $25,000 are on the line.

Features of Franken Cash

The game lacks the wild symbols, but it offers a bonus game instead, along with scatter symbols, free spins and multipliers.

We have the scatter symbol first, the image used for it being that of the Monster strapped to the electric chair. A minimum of two of these scatter symbols will pay you a prize, with the maximum payout of 100x the bet being offered when five of them are in place.

Electrifying Bonus Feature

This bonus game needs the scatter symbols to appear on the reels, and though their exact position on them doesn’t matter, the reels do have to be adjacent. You can trigger the game with just two scatter symbols though, as long as they’re arranged properly.

You take the role of Victor Frankenstein, the scientist that’s creating the monster, and you pick three voltage meters to use. Each one will electrocute the Monster’s body, and a prize will be obtained.

Free Games Feature

The second scatter symbol of Franken Cash is represented by the image of a switch. It rewards you with free spins, 15 of them being given together with a 2x multiplier. You can’t retrigger this feature unfortunately. You also get a prize directly from the scatters, up to 100x the bet being given for up to five Switch symbols.

Betting options and jackpots

You can spend as little as $0.01 if you want to, or you can take the wager up to $200. The 20 available lines accept 1 to 10 coins when they’re activated, denominations for those coins ranging from $0.01 to $1. A $10 line bet is the most that you can use, with $200 being the total for 20 lines.

Payouts reach a value which is 2,500 times bigger than the line bet that was selected, so up to $25,000 can be won.

Design and symbols

The game does look a bit scary, just like a Frankenstein themed slot machine should be, but there are plenty of things in it to make you smile as well. From the attractive bride of Frakenstein, to the monster that’s giving you the thumbs up as he’s being electrocuted, or the Igor character, the game manages to make itself liked, despite the grim theme that was used for it. The design is of good quality, and the slot is enjoyable as a result.

Is It Worth Playing?

It’s fun to play, not something that you can claim about a lot of slot machines released these days. Though I would’ve wanted a wild as well among the features, the game does alright overall and it’s worth playing.

Franken Cash can be found at any Microgaming casino, where you get a chance to play it for real money or in free mode.
