Stash of the Titans Slots

Stash-of-the-TitansStash of the Titans takes a mythology theme and makes it all about the money, a talent that many modern slot machines seem to have. The titans mentioned in the title were children of Gaea and Uranus in Greek mythology. These giants, which were incredibly powerful and immortal, were among the gods of Greece, but the legend says that they were overthrown, just like they did with the gods before them. As for this game, it takes some of those gods and mythological creatures and makes them cute cartoons.

Besides the pretty graphics, Stash of the Titans also has a rather average set of reels, 5 of them and with 20 bet lines total. There are free games to be played, with 4x multipliers no less, and then you get scatter symbols and some wilds. Its top payout will go as high as $10,000.

Features of Stash of the Titans

Stash of the Titans should have most of the features you would like to see in a game, meaning that you will encounter wild symbols along the way, scatters, free spins and multipliers.

The wild is easy enough to describe. It’s going to award you some rather unimpressive prizes when you manage to form a combo, varying between 2x and 10x, which is way below what other slots tend to give you. It’s a better idea to hope for a regular combo to be formed with its assistance, if you can get the wild in a position where it can use its substitution ability to take the place of another symbol. The only symbol which can’t be replaced with a wild is the Medusa scatter.

Speaking of Medusa, this scatter symbol appears on all the reels of the game, and you need two or more to get paid with its help. The prizes start at 2x the wager and go as high as 50x the wager, the exact multiplier being determined by taking into account how many symbols are present (2 to 5 needed).

Free Games Feature

As for the free spins, as it often happens, they are started with assistance from the same scattered Medusa. You need between 3 and 5 of these icons to get the feature activated.

Your reward will consist in a round with 15 spins for free, to which they’ve added a very decent 4x multiplier. The free spins look great, as they rarely offer this kind of multiplier, but they can’t be retriggered.

Betting options and jackpots

The coin bet range which the game uses starts at $0.01, and goes up to $0.20. The game uses up to 200 coins per spin, with each payline accepting up to 10. The line bets reach a maximum value of $2 this way, while the total wager is at $40.

You can walk away with payouts of up to 50,000 coins (5,000x), but that only means $10,000 due to the maximum denomination possible.

Design and symbols

I’d say that the design is the best part about this particular game. The way they created these mythology creatures and gods makes them look like cute or evil characters, but all of them are well enough drawn to be worthy of being part of some movie. There are treasures and dollar signs placed on ancient temples, so it doesn’t follow the mythology angle all the way through. Only quality symbols are used, without playing cards, so I give it bonus points for that.

Symbols: Game Logo (wild, 10x), Medusa (50x the bet, scatter), Pegasus (500x), Treasure Chest (400x), Bank (300x), Hydra (250x), Cyclops (150x), Griffon (80x), Minotaur (60x), Centaur (40x), Hellhounds (30x) and Satyr (20x).

Is It Worth Playing?

Do you enjoy the stories of the Greek mythology? You will definitely have fun playing Stash of the Titans, a game with very nice graphics and some interesting features, though payout wise I’m not that happy about it.

Stash of the Titans can be found at any Microgaming casino, where you get a chance to play it for real money or in free mode.
