Tribal Treasure Slots

Tribal-TreasureTribal Treasure is designed by the guys from Microgaming. The tribal theme has been tried plenty of times in the past, but I liked the treasure angle here, as it’s not that often used together with the people that inhabit jungles. The cannibal angle is also a new one for me, and you can see in one of the symbols our valiant explorer as he’s being cooked alive by the scary natives.

A maximum of 25 bet lines will be active each round where you spin the game’s 5 reels. Free games, multipliers, scatters and wilds make up the list of features, while the top prize is worth $20,000.

Features of Tribal Treasure

The four cornerstones of the modern slot are part of Tribal Treasure, offering wilds, scatters, free spins and multipliers. The bonus game is missing, but it’s not as common as the four I mentioned.

The Native symbol will be the wild of Tribal Treasure. The appearance of this wild can be on any reel or line, and it will help you out in two ways. You can get it to form its own combo of one to five symbols, if they appear from left to right in consecutive order. The prizes in that case will be between 2x and 10,000x. While on its own, the wild tries to be part of other combinations, by taking the same role as regular icons that need a bit of help with their wins. The Idol scatter can’t be replaced with a wild, but that’s the only exception.

Free Games Feature

The Idol scatter is reserved only for the 3rd reel, and each appearance of the symbol will bring you the equivalent of the triggering bet for that round. It is also collected for later use, each time one appears. Once you get 10 collected Idols, you are offered 10 free spins for them, with wins having a 5x multiplier.

Each spin will have the same bet and number of lines as the spin where you got the idol for it. If you use 10 different bets in the 10 rounds, then the free spins will all be different. You can’t retrigger the free spins.

Betting options and jackpots

The bets use a lot of coins if you want to get close to the maximum limit, up to 20 for each payline, or up to 500 coins total. The denomination is very low though, going only from $0.01 to $0.10. You have line bets of up to $2, with the total being $50 for all 25.

The rewards offered by the game will give you 200,000 coins, which mean about 10,000x. The cash value is at $20,000.

Design and symbols

The design is a mix of funny and scary, the latter description applying to the two natives that are screaming or salivating while looking at the reels. Given that they’re cannibals, the thought isn’t comforting. The jungle is used for the background picture, with the reels holding all sorts of images of objects, animals and playing cards which are tied up with vines.

Tribal-Treasure-paytable

Symbols: Native (wild, 10,000x), Idol (scatter, 1x the bet), Cooking Explorer (900x), Monkey (300x), Bracelet (300x), Ladle (125x), Ace (125x), King (100x), Queen (100x), Jack (100x) and Ten (100x).

Is It Worth Playing?

The game has most of the features you could expect from a modern slot, it has a decent prize when you compare it with the line bet, and good graphics. It should be a decent way of spending some time.

The Tribal Treasure slot machine is offered through the Microgaming platform, so if you want to play it for real or just to practice, look out for casinos that use it.
