Sparks Slots

SparksSparks is a lovely game which Net Entertainment offers. It’s a slot machine with a theme that seems to revolve around fireflies, sparks of fire and pretty much all the design is based on that kind of energy that looks alive. It uses various shapes made out of light and of different colors, there are poker cards which seem to be shaped out of colored fire, and overall it appears to be a game that you will enjoy, despite the very simple construction.

The 5 reels found in Sparks will have a maximum of 20 active lines on them. The modern design is accompanied by expanding cloning wilds, regular wilds and the chance to win both ways. Top prizes advertised by the game are on the low side though, going up to $4,000.

Features of Sparks

One of the things that Sparks has to offer is called Win Both Ways. Another would be its Expanding Cloning Wilds or the regular wilds. It doesn’t have the same large number of features as other games, but it has its own advantages that it brings to the table.

One of the things that the game prides itself with is the Win Both Ways setting. Depending on which mode you go with, you can form combinations with symbols arranged only from the leftmost reel to the right, or they can form starting from both sides of the game (rightmost to the left as well). The payouts should be coming in a lot more often when both ways are used.

Regular wild symbols can appear in any position in the game, and you will recognize them by the orange W logo placed against a light blue energy. This symbol is capable of substituting for other symbols, replacing them in newly formed combinations. It doesn’t work with Expanding Cloning Wilds though. It can even form its own combinations, but you obviously need the wilds to appear multiple times on the same line for that to happen. They would pay up to 200x in that case.

Expanding Cloning Wilds

These very special wilds are offered on the 2nd and the 4th reels of the game. They can substitute for any other symbol, even for the other regular wilds.

They are called cloning wilds because they do that to the symbols from the reel found on their left, cloning them in the same form to the reel from the right. If both the expanding wilds from the reel 2 and 4 are present at the same time, then the first set of reels is cloned by the second wild as well, potentially giving you an entire screen with combinations of the same type.

Betting options and jackpots

Net Entertainment’s usual betting system is employed in this game as well. You have the coin value on one hand, and it goes up to $2. The Bet Level is another option you have, and it goes up to 10, basically allowing you to control the number of coins you use. Line bets of up to $20 are formed this way, with $400 being the total for the 20 lines.

Rewards are very low, even for a game which pays both ways, giving you up to 200x the line bet at best, which means $4,000.

Design and symbols

While you don’t get a very clear theme in this game, it’s going to be an obviously pretty slot machine. The background is an abstract image with various shades of purple on it, while the reels are transparent and have symbols on them which look like forms of energy or like poker cards.

Sparks-Paytable

Symbols: W Logo (wild, 200x), Red Energy (200x), Orange Energy (175x), Green Energy (150x), Pink Energy (125x), Blue Energy (100x), Ace (50x), King (45x), Queen (40x), Jack (35x) and 10 (30x).

Is It Worth Playing?

The theme and the design seem to have been chosen to be interesting for most players, and the quality is good enough to achieve that. It helps that it has some cool features, but I’m not a fan of the low prizes it can give you.

The Sparks slot machine is offered through the Net Entertainment platform, so if you want to play it for real or just to practice, look out for casinos that use it.
