Safari Heat gets the usual 5 reels and on them you will discover up to 15 paylines. They will show you some wonderful images, with symbols used that can give you free spins, act as wilds or as scatter symbols, plus they also give away up to $500,000 as a jackpot.
Features of Safari Heat
All the features that you get in Safari Heat are the kind that are found in most games, but you find them all together in one spot, plus there are two different features that have multipliers (both the wild and the free spins). A scatter symbol is present as well, offering some impressive prizes.
The king of the jungle, the lion, appears in the wild symbol. This is the symbol that gives away the biggest prize available, plus it acts as a wild symbol for all regular symbols. While it doesn’t assist you with the scatter symbol’s prizes, it gives you a chance to form combinations with the rest of the symbols, plus it doubles the prizes that are awarded thanks to it.
As for the scatter, it gets the lone tree image, a classic photo of the African savannah. It has the standard role of triggering free spins and of awarding prizes. Also as usual, the prizes start at two scatter symbols, but you only get 2x the bet at that point. Each additional scatter increases the prize, the maximum being 500 times the triggering bet, for five scattered Trees.
Free Games Feature
The one feature that is triggered by the scatter symbol is the round with free spins. 15 games are awarded when 3+ Trees are scattered on the reels, with x3 multipliers applied to all winnings.
Betting options and jackpots
This is by no means a cheap game, not if you expect to use the highest bets that it has in store, aiming to also get the best possible prizes. The line bets vary between $0.01 and $50, at their highest using up to 10 coins of $5 each. The 15 lines will take the bet up to $750, which makes this a rather expensive slot to play.
It’s not all bad news though. The top jackpot is a valuable 10,000x, so that’s how much you get in return for a line bet. It means up to $500,000 for the top prize, a worthy goal to have. A very good alternative is the prize offered by five scattered Tree symbols, which will be worth 500x the total bet, or up to $375,000.
Design and symbols
The African safari look is a good one, especially well made when you look at the individual wildlife symbols. These are highly detailed, with abstract pictures of the sky behind them, colored in red, blue, purple and green, depending on the animal that appears in it. It’s a shame that they chose to use stock photos for the playing cards, without any sort of connection to the game. It really ruins what otherwise would’ve been a superb game.

The game has pretty much everything you could want, as long as you’re not expecting innovative features. It has big prizes, good features and special symbols, a decent design which could’ve been great, all in all a game I’d recommend.
