In Cleopatra’s Pyramid there is no mystery concerning the theme that you’re getting, the slot’s design quite clearly indicating the Ancient Egypt connection. Wager Gaming chose to create its own slot machine with this topic, something that every single developer out there has also done with at least one title, often enough with two or three. One thing I’ve enjoyed seeing in this game is that they’ve used all the features at their disposal, though they haven’t exactly gone out of their way to innovate. You get a bonus game, multipliers and free spins, scatter symbols and wilds.
Cleopatra’s appearance on the reels will mean one of three things. It might not be of any use to you at all if you’re unlucky, but there is also the chance that it will create its own combo of symbols or that it will help others do the same. The presence of two to five Cleopatra icons on a payline will get you prizes of 10 to 10,000 coins. If only one wild is part of a payline where a couple of matching icons are in place, it will substitute for one of them and will help the combo be formed. At the same time, it doubles the prize of a combo which it had a hand in forming, a 2x multiplier being responsible for it.
The scarab symbol is often used in Egyptian slot machines, and normally I’m not that glad to see that ugly little bug. However, in this case it is used as a scatter and it has the ability to award huge prizes, up to 500 times the wager of that last round. Since it’s considered a scatter, the symbol doesn’t need to create a regular combo, so all you have to do is get enough of them in random locations and you will get your reward.

The free spins are also a result of the scarab’s appearance, only you need at least 3 to trigger them, instead of the 2+ that the cash prizes needed. In return, you receive 15 spins and 3x multipliers.

Design and symbols
The design of Cleopatra’s Pyramid is a lot better than I usually expect from such a slot machine. There are playing cards unfortunately, but they are quite appropriately themed around the topic of the game. The Egyptian symbols look great, especially the ones that have characters in them (Cleopatra and the Pharaoh). It’s not your typical Egyptian slot machine, and I can only give it a thumbs up for that.

You’re not going to get a great theme here, it’s a very common one, but I enjoyed the way they did the design, the big prizes the game offers and the multitude of features that were included. Overall, I recommend you give it a shot, to at least see how a good Egyptian themed slot should look like.
