Rome and Egypt Slots

Rome-and-EgyptRome & Egypt focuses on the two ancient civilizations that the title mentions, and on the connection between them that came from the story of Caesar and Cleopatra (the rulers of the two countries). The game is a mix between the Ancient Rome and the Ancient Egypt theme, having symbols and characters which are representative for both of them. WMS used Caesar and Cleopatra in the main roles, both important symbols in this game.

A total of 40 paylines are present here, using 5 reels to support them. You can win up to $5,000 cash inside, and you will take advantage of stacked wilds which can trigger free spins with multipliers.

Features of Rome and Egypt

The game relies on stacked wilds to do most of the job, and that includes the trigger for the free spins which have multipliers for all wins.

The two most important symbols of the game are the ones which have Caesar and Cleopatra on them. They’re both stacked wilds, which can take over an entire reel, though often enough they will only appear on one or two positions. You can form combinations which are made only out of matching wilds (payouts of up to 500 coins), out of mixed wilds (250 coins) and with wilds acting as substitutes for other symbols. There are no scatters, so wilds can substitute for any other symbol in the game if their position is the right one.

Free Games Feature

To get into the free spins mode, you need multiple wild symbols present at the same time. Two of them get you 5 free spins, three will have 10 rounds for you, four will trigger 20 spins and the maximum of five wilds will bring you 50 free games. All wins from the free spins are doubled by the multiplier. The wilds have to appear going from the 1st reel towards the 5th one.

Betting options and jackpots

The slot’s coins have values of up to $5, but you can set them to as little as $0.01 if you want to. The total of 40 paylines of the game need the same number of coins, and the resulting wagers go up to $200.

If you get the best payout that the slot has to offer, with five matching wilds on a payline, you win 500 coins, or $2,500. The free spins double that value, to $5,000.

Design and symbols

The mix between the two different themes approached inside is visible everywhere you look. The background image has the left half made out of stone, while the right side has a mosaic on it. About half of the symbols are with Egyptian objects and constructions (pyramids, sphinx, Egyptian hat), while the other half are of Roman inspiration (Coliseum, Sword and shield, laurel, etc).

Is It Worth Playing?

I haven’t seen any other slots to mix these two themes together this way, so the slot has its own merits to put on the table. Its stacked wilds can bring you a lot of prizes, but don’t expect them to be too high.

The Rome and Egypt slot machine is offered through the WMS platform, so if you want to play it for real or just to practice, look out for casinos that use it.
