Wild Mummy presents the player with an Egyptian themed slot machine, the focus being of course on the Ancient Egypt and the civilization they formed, the pyramids they built and the other great achievements they’ve left behind. Amaya did a decent job here, but not by making this a modern looking game. Instead, its symbols mimic the actual look of the drawings found on the walls of pyramids and temples. There are features in Wild Mummy that you will find in every other slot out there, and the way they are used is quite common in the titles from this developer. Features of Wild Mummy
Wild Mummy gets the same set of features and the same prizes as a few other titles from Amaya. It’s a good list of features to have though, especially since two of them have multipliers.
The Wild Mummy is used as the wild symbol actually, so you will find it acting as a substitute for the other symbols of the game, but only for the regular ones. The substitution power that the mummy has allows it to take the place of other symbols in winning combinations, when it is placed in a spot where another symbol would be needed. Things get even better though, as the 2x multiplier of the wild doubles the prize of a combo formed with its help. There is also the top jackpot to consider, a prize of 5,000x the line wager that is offered by five matching wilds on an active line.
The grinning pharaoh is the scatter symbol, one of two that are available here. It’s the one that gives away prizes directly, simply by being present 2 to 5 times on the game’s reels. The maximum number of scatter symbols will bring with it a prize which multiplies the round’s wager by 200.

The pyramids, which have been around for over 4,500 years, are a testament to what the Egyptian people could achieve, and it gives us an idea of how great this civilization once was. It’s also the image of a bonus symbol, with scatter abilities. When you have 3+ pyramid symbols in any position in the game, you will find yourself presented with a bonus game, where you have to pick twice in order to find out how many free games and what multipliers you’ve won.
The first choice requires you to get one torch, out of the six offered. It will tell you the number of spins won, the range being 4 to 7. The second choice involves a pick of a hieroglyph, out of six available. This time, you find out what the multiplier is, the range being 3x to 6x.
Unfortunately, the game clearly states that the top jackpot doesn’t benefit from this multiplier.

A game that requires wagers of $50 or less, Wild Mummy has 20 paylines and it allows you to use 1 to 10 coins for each one. The denomination of the coin is also left up to you, as long as you choose from its limited range of $0.01 to $0.25.
The largest bet you can make in this game will get you a maximum of 50,000 coins. Their value would be $12,500 for a $2.50 line bet. Some games allow you to multiply the value of the jackpot during the free spins, but this is not one of them.
Design and symbols
Wild Mummy’s design looks somewhat dated, but I can’t decide if that’s intentional or if that’s how it came out. The reels are the retro part of the game, while the surrounding graphics look somewhat modern. You will find much better looking slots out there, with the same theme, if graphics are the most important part for you.
