50.000 Pyramid Slots

50.000-PyramidThe second slot machine from IGT to deal with the same pyramid style game show theme, The 50,000 Pyramid makes some changes to the original recipe, offering something different when it comes to symbols and payouts, but for the most part keeping the same design style and background for the studio where the action is taking place. Game shows might not be nearly as popular these days as they used to be in the past, but winning big prizes never gets old, and this slot gives you a chance to do that yourself.

With 5 reels, The 50,000 Pyramid has the same 15 paylines as the other game with this theme from IGT. The prize is slightly smaller, at $250,000, while the features remain the same, with free games, scatters and wilds being part of it.

Features of 50.000 Pyramid

The features of the game aren’t that different from the other slot from the series, with the same two major symbols (wild plus scatter) and free spins obtained through the bonus game.

The wild symbol’s logo now says “The 50,000 Pyramid”, instead of “The 100,000 Pyramid”, but other than that you’re getting pretty much the same symbol, with its ability to substitute for regular symbols. It does this for nine of the symbols that are present in this slot, the ones with no features attached. It also gives away prizes of 20 to 10,000 coins, for 2 to 5 wilds on the same line. If the maximum bet was active that round, you get 50,000 coins instead of 10,000.

The scatter symbol has remained the same, represented by the logo with Winners Circle written on it. You also need the same 3+ logos to get the bonus game started, and as before, you don’t get paid by the scatter when it appears in the base game.

Bonus Game

The Winners Circle logos that get the bonus game started need to be present in at least three locations on the screen. In the bonus game, you are allowed to pick boxes, on the different levels of the pyramid. You can get multipliers and free spins from each box, with a maximum of 40 spins winnable. Finding an empty box ends this feature, and the free spins start up next.

Betting options and jackpots

It’s a bit more expensive than the other slot from the series, with wagers going as high as $75 here. You are free to select as many coins per line as you want, in the 1 to 5 range, but you have to bet on all the lines. With the denomination of the coins being set at $1, the minimum bet is $15. The line bet goes from $1 to $5.

The maximum wager is a must, if you want a chance at the slot’s biggest prizes, the 50,000x multiple of the line bet. It is worth $250,000, but the $75 wager is a must in order to get it. Use a smaller bet than that, and your reward is a 10,000x multiple, or up to $50,000.

Design and symbols

The game show theme remains about the same as in the previous title, but the difference is that the reels seem to take a bigger part of the screen. It’s the same studio behind them, with symbols being modified to look different, but showing us the same prizes otherwise. For a game show themed slot machine, it’s a good looking design.

Symbols: The 50,000 Pyramid Logo (wild, 50,000x), The Winners Circle Logo (scatter), Mystery 7 (1,000x), Gold Bars (500x), Celebrity Star Logo (500x), Contestants Logo (500x), Ace Red Car (250x), King Golf Holiday (250x), Queen Gold Watch (200x), Jack TV Set (150x) and 10 MP3 Player (150x).

Is It Worth Playing?

The game has a few more limitations than the previous title, with the big payout requiring the maximum bet now, which has gone up as well. Overall, I’d say that you should go with “The 100,000 Pyramid” over this one, it seems to be the better slot.

50.000 Pyramid can be found at any IGT casino, where you get a chance to play it for real money or in free mode.
