Arabian Caravan Slots

Arabian-CaravanArabian Caravan is a Microgaming slot machine, one of the titles which this developer created with inspiration drawn from the Arabian culture. While games from Microgaming tend to be quite good looking in most cases, it’s almost painful to watch in this case. The graphics are terrible enough to convince almost anyone to skip it, no matter what kind of goodies await for them inside. You can read about the features below, so you can decide if you want to play it without actually having to see what it looks like.

If you choose to give the game a chance, despite the first impression, you’re going to discover a total of 243 ways to win, bonus games, scatter symbols and wilds. Even its prizes are on the low side, giving you at most $12,500.

Features of Arabian Caravan

243 ways to win are used in Arabian Caravan, along with symbols that have scatter or wild roles, plus a bonus game which can be started if you’re lucky.

The system called All Pays is actually the one with ways to win, which so many newer slots offer these days. It has 243 ways to win total, with just as many possibilities of forming combinations each round. The game takes into account only the symbols that are on neighboring reels, and it doesn’t matter for it if they’re on a payline or not.

The Arabian City is the wild symbol in this game, capable of substituting for all the symbols, with the exception of scatters. They have to land in just the right spot to be of use to you, and other symbols are required to be in place as well, before the new combo can form.

The scatter symbol’s representative is the Camel. This scatter appears anywhere on the reels, and pays you between 50x and 1,250x in prizes if you have between three and five symbols.

Desert Jars Bonus

The slot’s bonus game needs the Camel scatter to appear anywhere in the game, with at least three symbols. You are taken to a new screen if that happens, with 15 jars on it. You pick Jars, and you get from them either Sand, City or Oasis images.

The Oasis image will bring you a cash prize. The Sand image will end the feature and will pay you the money that you accumulated so far. The image of the Arabian City triggers a new round and also pays a bigger prize.

Players that get to the next round, with help from the Arabian City image, will get to make another choice, starting over with another set of 15 jars.

Betting options and jackpots

The game uses coins of $0.01 to $1, up to 10 for each line, so you can expect line bets of $10 and total bets of $250. There are 25 coins in use at all times, which the game considers sufficient to cover the 243 ways to win available inside.

If you get enough scatter symbols to appear, your reward will be 1,250x the line bet, which means $12,500 cash in this game. Regular symbols pay up to $10,000.

Design and symbols

Unfortunately, the graphics of Arabian Caravan are among the worst that I’ve ever seen in Microgaming’s collection. The surrounding graphics, the fonts used in the logo, the sand dune backgrounds for the poker cards and some of the themed symbols all contribute to this bad first impression. There are a couple of nicely done symbols, but a very limited number and since they pay better you don’t get to see them as often.

Symbols: Camel (scatter, 1,250x), Arabian City (wild), Arabian Trader (1,000x), Arabian Bottle (1,000x), Smoking Bowl (1,000x), Pillows (500x), Ace (250x), King (150x), Queen (150x), Jack (150x), 10 (100x) and 9 (100x).

Is It Worth Playing?

I wouldn’t recommend the game over others available, both from Microgaming and from other developers. It has graphics that I for one didn’t enjoy at all, prizes that are average at best and features which can’t make up for the cons.

You will find Arabian Caravan at any online casino which chooses to use software from Microgaming, playable either for free or for real money.
