No Worries Slots

No-WorriesNo Worries is a game dedicated to the Australian outback, to the wonderful animals that live there to be more specific, but the way that Microgaming approached this topic is slightly different than usual. The animals are shown pretty much as lazy bums, living a life without worries, sitting in hammocks and drinking beers, eating pizza and playing on their smartphones, among other things. It’s a very cool design actually, and the animal characters are quite loveable.

You will find 9 paylines on the 5 reels of No Worries. The game is filled with interesting features, with the free spins and their multipliers of up to 8x being my favorites, but with scatter symbols and wilds being close behind. The slot’s top payout is at $12,500.

Features of No Worries

The game does well enough feature wise, with the offer consisting in free spins with multipliers, bonus games, a scatter symbol and a wild. That’s pretty much all you can expect from a modern slot machine, and you get one of each.

To start with, we have the No Worries Logo, the symbol that is responsible for the top jackpot being awarded, and which at the same time acts as a wild. As a wild, the Game Logo can replace any other regular symbol, as long as its location permits it to be part of another combination. It has to land just right that round, on a payline occupied by a few other matching symbols, but if that happens it will help you create a combo and it will also use a 2x multiplier to double the prize that is offered. It’s going to give you prizes directly as well, but you need to land multiple wilds (2 to 5) on the same payline for that to happen.

The game has a dedicated scatter symbol for the purpose of triggering a cash prize, and it can be a very generous amount that you’re getting from it. Tazza, the cat, will be the one appearing in this symbol, and it will reward you with prizes worth 3x to 300x the wager, when you have 3 to 5 symbols on the reels (the exact position doesn’t matter).

Free Games Feature

The third feature symbol of No Worries shows you the Boomerang. It’s a symbol which needs to appear from left to right, on a payline, in order to trigger its feature. You get a small prize when you have three or four symbols arranged this way, while five symbols will offer you the free spins feature.

The symbols disappear from the reels on the next screen, and a boomerang appears in front of them, with five sections on it, each one with a different pattern. You click on one of the five patterns, and you find out the number of free spins that you’ve won.

You will find that you’ve won as many as 25 spins for free, with multipliers starting out at 2x. Whenever you get a Beer Can on the 5th reel, the multiplier goes up by 1x. It will go as high as 8x, no more.

Pick a Prize

This screen pops up once the free spins round is over, and it will give you three choices. The first one allows you to simply collect the coins you’ve won during the free spins, if you’re happy with the end result. The second option will cancel your winnings, and will restart the free spins, hopefully with a better result this time. The third option gives you a mystery prize, while cancelling the prizes gathered during the free spins. The payout offered in this last case will be randomly chosen, from the 2x to 150x the total bet range.

Betting options and jackpots

The game makes use of both coins and denominations when the line bets are decided, and you can choose as many paylines as you want as well. For each selected line, you get to use a maximum of 10 coins, with their values being in the $0.01 to $0.25 range. Add it all up, and you get a maximum line bet of $2.50, while the total for the 9 lines reaches $22.50.

The 5,000x jackpot obtained with help from the wild symbol is going to mean 50,000 coins in the best case scenario, with the cash value at $12,500.

Design and symbols

It’s a very satisfying design, with wildlife from the Australian outback present among its symbols, all of them designed to look funny and very laid back, enjoying themselves and just being lazy in the powerful sun of that region. Though there are playing cards used as well, they’re not a problem, as they’ve been designed to at least partially be themed.

Is It Worth Playing?

The game has a lot to offer, despite the rather average top prizes that are available inside. The graphics and the features manage to do a lot better, so I’d recommend it to anyone, especially since so few Australian themed slots look modern.

No Worries can be found at any Microgaming casino, where you get a chance to play it for real money or in free mode.
