Scoop the Cash Slots

Scoop-the-CashIt’s all about the money in Scoop the Cash, a slot machine where all the symbols include gold coins, but luckily they’re doing it without managing to look obnoxious. It’s a Microgaming slot, which takes advantage of the greed for gold that most of us have built in us. The resulting design looks pretty great, much better than you would expect when hearing that all the symbols have gold coins in them.

You’re getting 25 paylines on the 5 reels of Scoop the Cash. Created by Microgaming, the slot offers plenty of cool features, the bonus game being one of them, the free spins with the multipliers being there as well, along with the scatter and the wild symbols. Top jackpots of up to $10,000 are offered.

Features of Scoop the Cash

There are three symbols with special powers here, all of them scatters, but one being a wild as well. You also get free spins with multipliers and a bonus game.

The Scoop the Cash Logo is used by the game in a few different ways. First of all, you have this symbol in the role of a wild, capable of substituting for others and assisting you in forming a new combination. It can’t replace the two scatter symbols, but it works in all other cases. The wild can also give you prizes, in two different ways. First, it works like any other symbol, being on an active line with up to five symbols and forming a combination, awarding up to 5,000x the line bet. Second, it can act as a scatter as well, so when you have five wilds in any position you get paid an amount equivalent to 250 times the total bet.

Free Games Feature

Another scatter symbol is the Safe, which you can count on to give you free spins and prizes. The Safes can be placed anywhere on the reels, like any good scatters. All the free spins also have 2x multipliers, so the wins are doubled.

Three scattered Safes get you 10 free spins and a prize worth 5x the total bet. With one extra scatter, you get a bigger prize (20x the bet) and 15 free spins. The maximum of five scatter symbols brings you 20 free spins and a reward worth 50x the bet.

Bonus Game

The third scatter of the slot is the one with the Dice on it. It can only appear on the reels from the middle (2, 3 and 4). Get it on all three reels at the same time, and you will be rewarded with access to a bonus game. All 25 lines have to be covered by the wager, in order for this bonus game to be able to start.

You get 2 to 4 dice rolls as part of the bonus game. You have three ways to win here. One of them is by winning the paytable payout for the dice rolls sum. Another would be by getting three identical colored symbols, in which case you get 20x the bet. If you have three of a kind, you get an even better prize, of 100x the bet.

Betting options and jackpots

You can cover as many lines as you want, so you can use anywhere between 1 and 250 coins. The line wagers accept a maximum of 10 coins, with the denomination being selectable within the given range of $0.01 to $0.20. You can end up with line bets of $2, while the maximum goes up to $50.

You can hope for top payouts of 5,000x from the wild, which will mean up to 50,000 coins, or $10,000. An even better alternative exists there, if you get five scattered wilds, in which case you get 250x the bet, or $12,500.

Design and symbols

You do tend to get a bit of a gold fever while looking at Scoop the Cash. There is gold everywhere you look. There are gold coins next to the logo, in the outside borders of the reels, next to all the symbols and in the betting area. It doesn’t become tiring though, which is something to thank the designers for. It looks like a well designed game, a solid choice if you want great graphics.

Is It Worth Playing?

As far as wealth themed slots go, this is a pleasant enough title, which uses a lot of gold coins but manages not to become annoying. Its features are also worthy of some attention, so I recommend you give it a chance.

The Scoop the Cash slot machine is offered through the Microgaming platform, so if you want to play it for real or just to practice, look out for casinos that use it.
