Sea of Tranquility is one of the slots that WMS has released, only this time we’re getting a title with an unusual theme. The inspiration seems to have come from the Moon and astrology for the most part, with the background featuring planets as seen from the orbit of one of them, while the reels get poker cards and things like Earth’s satellite or jars with fireflies.

Features of Sea of Tranquility
The slot features the Comet in the role of the expanding wild, the Moon as the scatter, free spins and something called the Close Enough Area.
The Green Comet is the symbol you will turn to for help, to assist you in the formation of new combinations. It’s a substitute, a wild that expands and takes over entire reels if there is a chance that you will get a new combo out of it. The symbol also creates combinations directly, and you get up to 1,000 coins if that happens. It’s not the kind of wild that can replace a scatter, but then again few of them are.
Free Games Feature
You have a feature with free spins in Sea of Tranquility, and for two to five Bonus Moon icons in random positions but on adjacent reels, you will be rewarded with 7 to 50 rounds. Besides the free spins, you also get prizes which are worth between 2x and 25x the round’s wager.
While free spins are running, the Lady, Ship and Owl symbols can be substitutes for each other, acting as limited wilds in this case.
Close Enough Area
At the top and the bottom of the reels you will notice some unusually shaped areas. They are part of something called Close Enough Area. It helps when the wild or the bonus icons are involved. Even if they’re not on the regular reels, if they appear in that area they can expand to cover the reel (the wild), or they count as scatters (the Moon).
Betting options and jackpots
You’re playing with 30 bet lines, the wagers using 30 coins to activate them all. Each coin used has a value as small as $0.01, or one as high as $5. You can spend up to $150 on each round of the slot.
The slot’s best rewards come from the wild, which offers 1,000 coins. Their top value will be $5,000.
Design and symbols
Thanks to the inclusion of an area called Close Enough, which shows a part of the symbols which are just above or below the visible part of the reels, the slot’s design appears a bit unusual. It’s not unpleasant though. You have a purple background with various planets as seen from the Moon’s orbit. On the reels, the symbols feature poker cards and mostly Moon related images.

The slot might do very well when it comes to the bonus features, but I’m not a fan of the prizes offered by the symbols, with the exception of the top jackpot which is adequate. For most of the time, you will find that you don’t get much in return.
