Features of Alice and the Mad Tea Party
There are some features provided in the game, but not a lot of them. We have the wild symbol first, followed by the scatter and a bonus game which it can start for you.
The WILD Logo is going to do just that, act as the wild of the game. It is limited to the reels 2, 3, 4 and 5, meaning that it can’t form its own combo since it doesn’t show up on the 1st reel as well. Having a wild on the right payline, with the other positions being occupied by matching symbols and/or other wilds, will get you a combo which wouldn’t have been possible. Wilds are useful because in the long run you will find that you’re making more money with their help. It’s a very basic feature in this case though, not even applying a multiplier.
Bonus Game
The Feature Logo is the other symbol that the game uses to do something special. It’s the trigger for the bonus game, and it is needed on the reels 1, 3 and 5 at the same time. Those three are the only reels on which the scatter can appear.
The rewards will consist in free spins, a total of 6 rounds being given when the requirements are met. Before each spin begins, you have to pick one of the teapots, and it will show you a multiplier, will turn certain symbols into wild ones or will activate the Super Mad Respin.
Super Mad Respin
This feature will be activated at random during the free spins, or during the base game when you have three Alice icons on the 1st reel. If the latter happens, you will get three teapots which show up above the reels. You pick one of them, and the potential rewards are the ones mentioned below. Up to 7 respins can be awarded, during which the Alice symbols lock in place on the 1st reel.
The potential rewards which you can get from the tea pots can be incredibly varied. One of them is called Alice and Spin, where you get additional Alice icons and you get a respin for the 2nd and 5th reels. Another one gives you just the three extra Alice icons. The tea pots can also give you multipliers as high as 10x, cash prizes of up to 15x the bet and some bonus games (Alice feature, Cheshire Cat, Caterpillar or Mad Hatter).
Betting options and jackpots
You place bets in this game which will cover the 30 lines, and then they will add something extra to activate all those great features. 30 coins are used for the lines, plus another 20 coins for the features, the total being 50 coins. You decide how much the coins are worth, between $0.01 and $2, so the resulting betting range is from $0.50 to $100.
The base game doesn’t give you that much, offering up to 500 coins, or $1,000. The features can get a bit more interesting though.
Design and symbols
The design is one of the things I’ve appreciated most about this slot machine. The reels are much smaller than in other slots, taking only about 60% of the game area, leaving the rest to the background picture. You are shown a forest during autumn, with leaves falling out of the trees. Alice sits on top of the reels, with the Cheshire Cat making appearances from time to time alongside. The quality of the symbols is also very good, most of them being inspired by the theme of the game.
