The Arctic Adventure version of Wild Gambler gives you the same wildlife theme as the first game, but now the action takes place in the colder regions of our planet, instead of being about Africa. You see both creatures from the North and South Pole, a lot of ice and an ocean which is not yet totally frozen. The game went from extremely hot temperatures to extremely cold ones, but the same design style and many of the same features will insure that it will be a familiar sight.
The Arctic version of the game comes with 5 reels and 20 lines, with free spins, scatter symbols, multipliers, wilds and the usual Lock & Spin option. A top prize of $10,000 is also the same as in the previous game.
Features of Wild Gambler – Arctic Adventure
The game keeps many of the same features in Arctic Adventure, but besides the wilds and the free spins it also adds scatter symbols. The Lock & Spin feature is present as well.
The Polar Bear wild is going to be especially useful in this game, where Lock & Spin allows you to keep them on the reels. It will replace regular symbols which are needed in the position they landed in, and new combinations will be formed with its help. It can also pay by itself, but you need a full combo of five to form in order to get a direct prize from it. It will be at 1,000x the line bet if it does happen, and that is the best payout offered by the game.
Free Games Feature
To get the free spins going, the requirement would be for a minimum number of three scatter symbols to appear in the same round. These symbols have a silver coin on them, with a snowflake motif and the Free Spins logo.
Three scatters get you 7 spins for free, four will trigger 12, while five will bring you the maximum of 20 spins.
If you have any multipliers and locked wilds on the reels in the round when the free spins get triggered, you can expect to see them during the feature as well. Additional appearing wilds or additional multipliers will also be held.
Lock & Spin
This feature was a big part of what made the initial Wild Gambler title a success. It allows you to lock the wild symbols that you get while you play, so that only the other symbols spin and change. The wilds stay there, but you need to place a bigger wager in order for that to happen.
If it happens that a wild symbol appears under a locked wild, then that locked wild gets a bigger multiplier by 1x, which can go as high as 5x in time.
The bet depends on the number of locked wilds, and it will go up with each additional such symbol.
Betting options and jackpots
You can take the line bet from the minimum of $0.01 to the maximum of $10. You can bet on 20 lines each round, so you spend between $0.20 and $200 each time.
The slot’s top rewards are at the same level as in the previous title, at 1,000 coins, which would mean $10,000 at best.
Design and symbols
There is a lot of ice in this game, but it shouldn’t be a surprise since the coldest regions of our planet are the ones that the game pays attention to. The animals are the stars here, all of them in a cartoon form which makes them look funny and about to get into trouble. They’re mostly smiling or grinning in your direction. The other symbols are poker cards made out of ice, with a bit of snow on top of each one.
