Pinocchio Slots

PinocchioPinocchio is a Betsoft slot machine, one of the 3D titles that this company released, all of them with superior graphics and with loads of cool features. Besides the fact that it’s a very well made game, it also offers the theme that revolves around the story of Gepetto and Pinocchio, the wooden boy and the man that carved him. You’re not going to find a lot of similar slot machines, with the same theme I mean, but some do exist out there, as it is quite a popular story for children since Disney got their hands on it.

A game like Pinocchio should have plenty of fans, and it’s especially true in this case since it has so many great and different features. Its various gameplay modes, respins, wild symbols, worlds and scatters which trigger wild scrolls, these are all things you will enjoy while you play on its 5 reels and bet on its 15 lines. The biggest rewards it has for you will reach values of only $2,500.

Features of Pinocchio

The game’s features are complex, so you can spend quite a bit of time in it before you see it all and take advantage of everything it has to offer. You can play in Wood Boy or Real Boy mode, you can be part of one of three worlds (Workshop, Classroom or Stage) and you can get wild symbols, scatters and free respins. All in all, it is a very complex mix that can be a lot of fun.

First of all, you can switch from Wood Boy to Real Boy mode, and you do this by collecting tiny icons with the Real Boy, images which appear in the corner of regular symbols. The difference between the two modes is that Pinocchio comes in the wood or the real version, depending in which mode you’re in.

The Real Boy icons are wild symbols, so there is a very good reason for trying to get into Real Boy mode, as you will be able to take advantage of this feature. Unfortunately, you will go back to Wood Boy mode if you collect five icons with Wood Boy mini symbols while in Real Boy mode.

Fairy Awesome Respins

The respin that the fairy can bring you is activated only in certain situations where you are prevented from getting a winning combo which has five matching symbols in it, and where one of the first three reels is the problem. If that happens, the fairy appears and respins only that problem reel, hopefully bringing you the symbol you need to get a big prize.

The Worlds

The game’s action takes place in three different worlds. You start off in the Workshop, and then you can go to the Classroom and finally to the Stage. To get to the next world, you need to collect a certain number of Books or Wagon symbols, both of which can make appearances on the reels 2 and 4.

Collecting Wagon symbols helps you go to the Stage world, 10 such icons being needed before you can get into that mode. They only appear on the reels 2 and 4, and with each one you get the meter will fill up by one step.

As for the Books icon, it will do the same to help you get to the Classroom mode. You need 10 symbols with the Books, which you also collect from the reels 2 and 4.

You get 8 spins in that mode, after which you once again return to the Workshop mode. The winning spins don’t decrease the countdown, but the ones with loses do that. If you get respins or scroll wilds then they will not influence the countdown in any way.

Wild Scroll Feature

Depending on which mode you’re in (Workshop, Classroom or Stage), the way to trigger the wild scroll feature is different. In each case, two such symbols will offer you the value of the bet back, while three will pay you five times the bet.

For Workshop mode, the scatter symbol in use will be the one with Gepetto. It’s going to be present on the 1st, 3rd and 5th reels and when all three get it you receive access to the Wild Scroll feature. The scroll will start from the right side and go to the left, respining reels as it does this. All the respins are free and you can get multiple wild scrolls active at the same time.

While in Classroom mode, the scatter symbol which triggers the same Wild Scroll is the one with the Books and the apple. In this case, the wild scroll moves from the superior to the inferior part of the reel and it respins the reels at each step.

With Stage mode, the Wagon symbol acts as the scatter, once again appearing on the reels 1, 3 and 5. You can activate the Wild Scroll Wild Reel here. A wild reel remains that way for the next 5 respins, all of them free.

Betting options and jackpots

The betting system is typical for Betsoft’s 3D games, using up to 5 coins for each line, for a total of 75 coins on the 15 lines. The coin values are also normal, starting at $0.02 and getting up to $1. You can wager $5 on a line, or $75 on all of them.

The rewards are best when they come from combinations of Wooden/Real Boy symbols, in which case you can get up to 2,500 coins, or $2,500 cash.

Design and symbols

This beautiful game takes you inside Gepetto’s workshop, where you see various other puppets and clocks, things that this craftsman has made. You see Pinocchio as well, on the other side of the reels as Gepetto. The design is gorgeous, there are lots of cool animations that are used to keep you entertained, but I didn’t like seeing that they used a couple of playing cards as well.

Is It Worth Playing?

Betsoft did a wonderful job when making a slot machine based on this popular story, and both its graphics and its features are worthy of your attention. The prizes, not so much.

Pinocchio, A Disney Production

The original Pinocchio was first mentioned in a novel written by Carlo Collodi, which was called “The Adventures of Pinocchio”. The story became really well known once Disney made an animation film based on it, and it’s actually the second such film that this company produced, back in 1940. The story of Pinocchio, the wooden boy that wants to be real, and that of Gepetto, his creator, has been a huge success of the times and to this day it is still considered one of the best films that Disney has put out.

You will find Pinocchio at any online casino which chooses to use software from Betsoft, playable either for free or for real money.
