NextGen Gaming About To Drop A New Slot – The Spin Lab

The NYX Gaming Group’s Sydney based game development studio NextGen Gaming is preparing to drop their latest slots title into the world of online casino gaming.

The Spin Lab is the name of the new game which has been slated for a release in the 4th week of March 2015, and while we have previously reported on the slot earlier in the month, we were working from the scant information which was available at the time, and we are now in a much better position to offer our readers a more informed preview.

NextGen Gaming’s Latest Slot – The Spin Lab

Set in world of blue and upon a backdrop of electronic circuit boards, The Spin Lab takes its science seriously as can be witnessed by the symbols on the reels which include all matters of micro marvels, such as atoms, DNA strands and molecules.

The game itself features a lay out of a 5 reel 3 row configuration with Wins being awarded across 25 paylines.

It’s not an exaggeration to say that the games Bonus Feature is what will be the headlining act with this slot, even though the scientific theme and colour palate are certainly a positive.

Known as the Spin Lab Bonus, this Bonus Feature is an innovative little number and even though it may be a little confusing upon first encounter, it is soon understood after a few plays, and we will do our best to break it down here for you.

The Spin Lab Bonus

To enter the Spin Lab Bonus feature, a player must first land 3 or more Scatter symbols upon any of the slots 5 reels while gaming in the standard base mode.

Upon doing so, the player will be rewarded 5 Free Spins as well as entrance into the Spin Lab Bonus feature, which is where things start to get a little interesting to say the least.

In the Spin Lab Bonus, the player is presented with 3 rows which each contain 3 choices of actions/symbols from which they can choose from.

The player can either choose to Auto pick (boring!) their selection, or to take on the game hands on and choose the combinations that they wish to play themselves.

To give you an idea with what you will be presented with, here is how the 3 rows are laid out in the Spin Lab Bonus feature:

Row 1: Symbols the same; Symbols Stacked; Symbols Prizes

Row 2: Wilds Stacked; Extra Wilds; Wild Multiplier

Row 3: All Wins Multiplier; Pays both ways; Extra 5 Free Spins

So as you can see there is quite a lot to get to grips with here, and each combination that you can choose from the possible 81 options available will deliver a different result.

Feeling confused?

Well help is at hand in the game courtesy of a Collections button which will give the player an overview of all of the options which have been presented, and another button, History/Top Scores, which conveniently keeps track of all of the previous combinations that the player has chosen.

The Spin Lab – A Spin Too Far?

While it is true that this new slot from NextGen gaming is probably not for your average casual player or fan of the good ol’ one armed bandit 3 reeler, we here at CasinoSlots.Com are a fan of innovation, and for that we’re placing this game on the side of good rather than evil.

There certainly will be a niche market for this game amongst slots players, and hopefully it will make enough of an impact upon its release and receive sufficient enough exposure for it to reach its core most appreciative audience.
