SG Gaming And Mecca Bingo Sign Five Year Agreement

UK based content provider SG Gaming, who are a subsidiary of Scientific Games, has announced the details of a new five year agreement that they have entered into with Mecca Bingo, who are themselves a subsidiary of the Rank Group.

The new deal will see SG Gaming supply server-based content and managements systems with full front and back end capabilities to Mecca, which will then in turn be rolled out to all Mecca branded clubs and facilities throughout the United Kingdom.

The Technology And Equipment

The new platform that Mecca Bingo will inherit will be powered by SG Gaming’s technology partner Playtech plc, which will be utilising their own Videobet subsidiary to assist with the roll out, which will feature a range of content taken from SG Gaming’s offerings.

Components associated with the deal include networked terminals with ticketing functionality, as well as analysis and tools courtesy of Videobet which will allow Mecca to scrutinise the performance of their machines, as well as tweak them to better engage their customer base.

The roll out will be implemented during the first quarter of 2015, with gaming terminal installations and upgrades scheduled to take place, as well as venue network upgrades and training for venue staff who will be engaging with customers and the machines.

Games which will be included in the initial roll out include Rainbow Riches, The Wizard of Oz: Over the Rainbow, and Zeus II, with content to be added in the future by another Scientific Games associate – Bally Technologies.

Managing Director of SG Gaming Phil Horne expressed his joy in being able to secure a long term deal with Mecca, after an initial trial run undertaken by the two was deemed to be satisfactory to all parties involved.

Mr Horne also mentioned SG Gaming’s delight that their content delivery and management system was making successful inroads, after a significant amount of time and money had been invested into it.

Mecca Bingo’s head of slots machines Mohammed Zabed also noted the success of the trial program, and he is of the belief that the analytical tools and systems offered by SG Gaming will be able to fulfil Mecca’s gaming ambitions going forward.

Additionally, Mr Zabed paid tribute to SG Gaming’s games content, which he believes will be another positive contributing factor to the new arrangement, and the roll out of its associated gaming systems.
