Caesar Salad Slots

Caesar-SaladCaesar Salad is an interesting proposal from Cryptologic, one of their slot machines and a title themed around a weird mix of salads and the Roman Empire. The Caesar Salad is a well known course for those that want to eat something healthy, but in this case it’s used more like a way to approach the Roman Empire subject, with Caesar being the name of one of its greatest rulers and conquerors. The result is a mix of images of salad ingredients and Roman Empire and army stuff.

You get 5 reels in Caesar Salad, with a maximum of 20 paylines that are waiting to be activated. The $75,000 top jackpot is a good goal to have, the big prizes being one thing that I enjoy about Cryptologic, plus you can also benefit from various features that appear along the way, like multipliers, scatters, free games or wilds.

Features of Caesar Salad

Caesar Salad might not impress you when it comes to the design or the theme choice, but it does well enough when it comes to symbols with special roles.

The first one would be Caesar himself, an obvious choice for the slot’s most important symbol. He acts as the wild, the symbol capable of substituting and helping others form new combinations. He also awards the 7,500x top jackpot, but for that you need an entire payline occupied by matching wilds. You will not see Caesar acting as a scatter, but otherwise he can take any other role.

Caesar’s Wife, a beautiful brunette, can appear in any position, and as long as it’s present multiple times you will get a prize out of it. Two to five scatters gets you 1x to 100x the triggering bet. At the same time, with three to five symbols, you can win 10 free spins, plus 3x multipliers.

Betting options and jackpots

You only need to use a single coin for each payline that needs to be activated, but you have a pretty big betting range to work with anyway, with the minimum coin being at $0.01, while the maximum is at $10. The largest wager allowed goes up to $200.

Caesar is going to be the one to award the top jackpot, and if you meet the requirements you will be rewarded with a 7,500x line bet multiple. That means 7,500 coins, and if you used the largest denomination they will be worth up to $75,000.

Design and symbols

I’d say that the design is one of the weakest points of Caesar Salad. It’s not the theme choice that is a problem, but the actual implementation and the design style. It looks like an older game, with the kind of graphics you could’ve expected to see in style a decade ago. New games tend to look considerably better right now.

Symbols: Caesar (wild, 7,500x), Caesar’s Wife (scatter, 100x the bet), Roman Soldier (2,000x), Lion (1,000x), Chariot (500x), Salad (500x), Wine Goblet (200x), Oil Bottle (200x), Grapes (150x), Bacon (150x), Cheese (100x) and Crutons (100x).

Is It Worth Playing?

I’d recommend Caesar Salad if you like the theme choice and you’re not too picky when it comes to graphics. Otherwise, there are better slot machines out there for you to choose from.

Caesar Salad can be found at any Cryptologic casino, where you get a chance to play it for real money or in free mode.
