Call of Duty 4 Slots

Call-of-Duty-4Call of Duty 4, also known as CoD 4, is a slot machine designed by Cryptologic and it is based on a popular video game that was released for all the major gaming platforms. This video game series has its action revolving around a first person shooter environment, so you will find that the slot machine does the same thing. Its war themed design involves various symbols that have a gun or ammo inspiration, though in many cases they consist mostly of icons and not pictures of the real thing.

You get 5 reels with 25 lines in CoD 4, a normal number for a slot from Cryptologic. The prize is going to get your attention, even if the theme choice doesn’t, as it will offer you $100,000. Besides the prize, you will also find that the features are worthy of your time, adding to the reels scatter and wild symbols, with free spins and multipliers.

Features of Call of Duty 4

While for the most part you will find that the slot’s features are regular ones, the developers have made sure that at least one of them is fun for gamers, the bonus game.

The symbol marked as Soldier on the paytable acts as the wild. There are actually three soldiers in that picture, all in the middle of a firefight. With its wild role to back it up, the Soldier is going to make you a richer man as you continue to play, forming new paying combinations that otherwise wouldn’t have had a chance. There is more though, as the wild forms combinations of its own, with only wilds in them. The top jackpot is awarded with its help, requiring five wilds on an active line.

A feature called Exploding Symbols is going to be triggered from time to time, at random and during the base game. You will notice that some symbols will explode and that a wild Soldier will take their place.

The Logo scatter gives you a picture of the logo with Call of Duty 4 written on it, the image you see on the video game case as well. As you would expect from it, the scatter gives you its prizes by being present multiple times in random positions, during the same spin. The prizes vary from 2x to 200x the triggering bet.

Call of Duty 4 Bonus Game

This is one of the coolest parts of this game. Whenever 3+ scattered Logos show up, you get access to a bonus game where you have to put the target on your enemies and then shoot them. These enemies appear one after the other, so it’s not like you’re shooting sitting ducks.

Each soldier you kill gets you 4 spins for free. If you manage to kill 5 without missing, you also win an Airstrike, which will put a multiplier of 3x to 5x on the free spins wins. If you don’t get the Airstrike, the multiplier will be 2x, which still doubles your payouts. If you destroy barrels and cars, you also get some extra bonuses from this feature.

Betting options and jackpots

Call of Duty 4 has a betting range that gives its players the option to play it even if they have limited budgets. You might be able to spend just $0.01 with each used coin, but if you’re a high roller you can just as easily max out that value, to $20. You would end up with a $500 bet per spin.

The $100,000 jackpot that I’ve mentioned before is obtained with the help of 5,000 coins that are awarded if you hit the right symbol combo (five wilds).

Design and symbols

The war themed design is unmistakable in this case, with a war torn background visible behind the slot’s reels. On the reels, you get the same dark design, with black behind each symbol. As for the symbols, they’re all gun, ammo or soldier related, so fans of the CoD franchise will appreciate them. I would’ve loved more images of real ammo and guns though, instead of some of the more abstract pictures.

Symbols: Soldier (wild, 5,000x), Call of Duty 4 Logo (scatter, 200x the bet), Target in Scope (200x), AK-47 (200x), Gas Mask (150x), Flashbang Grenade (150x), Green Grenade (125x), Green Reticule (125x), Red Bullet (100x), Red Pistol Trigger (100x), Blue Pouch (100x) and Blue Ammo Magazines (100x).

Is It Worth Playing?

There is no doubt that a fan of the CoD series should try this game out, and even video gamers in general should be able to appreciate it. It doesn’t have much of a downside to it, with a long enough list of features available and with big prizes offered.

Call of Duty, the Video Game

As you might already know, especially if you are a gamer and enjoy FPS titles, Call of Duty is a series of first-person shooters, with the 4th title being launched in 2007. Modern Warfare is the name of this 4th variant, upon which the present slot machine was based. Though right now it’s a bit of an old game, CoD 4 can still be played on Windows, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and Mac OS X. Even the Nintendo DS has its own version of the game. You can play it alone, or you can try it out in co-op or multiplayer mode.

At the time of its launch, the versions for PS3 and Xbox 360 would see record sales numbers in the US, with about 2 million copies sold in a single month, in November 2007. Another 1.5 million would be sold for the Xbox 360 the next month. By 2013, over 15.7 million copies of the game were sold, making this one of the most popular games ever.

The Call of Duty 4 slot machine is offered through the Cryptologic platform, so if you want to play it for real or just to practice, look out for casinos that use it.
