Daredevil Slots

DaredevilThe action in Daredevil is based on the comic book with the same name from Marvel, making this one of Cryptologic’s games that are built under official license. The result is that they are able to use official images from the comic book on their symbols, so if you’re a fan of this superhero, this is the slot game you want to play. The game benefits not only from the pretty graphics, but also from the multiple jackpots that Marvel offers in all slots designed for them.

Daredevil is a modern 5 reel title, a comic book themed slot with only 9 lines and an identical number of chances to form a combo. Designed by Cryptologic, it offers a $40,000 jackpot, multiple progressive prizes from Marvel and a small number of features, consisting in scatter and wild symbols.

Features of Daredevil

You don’t find a lot in the way of features in Daredevil, so the focus remains for the most part on scatters and wilds, two special symbols that are the most popular in slots today.

Daredevil himself appears on the symbol that acts as the wild. This feature has mostly pros, but I just wish it was a little bit more common in the game. You can only get it on reels 2 and 4, but when it does appear, getting a wild to contribute to a combo will also double the payout offered by it, so its 2x multiplier sort of makes up for the few occasions on which you will get the symbol. Still, overall I’d say it’s not as useful as a wild symbol that appears on all the reels, even if it doesn’t have a multiplier.

The other major symbol is the scatter, the Daredevil Logo being the one chosen for it. It does for you the two things that scatters often do, triggering a cash prize and giving you access to a bonus round. The value of the cash prize depends on two things, the number of scatters present and the amount you’ve used in your bet that round. You win a prize that is a multiple of the triggering bet, with the range being 2x to 100x for 2 to 5 scatter symbols.

Bonus Feature

The same Logo scatter that you can count on for some nice prizes will give you the bonus feature as well. Three or more Logos are needed, and once the bonus game starts you will be presented with a screen where the original 15 symbols darken and then blue outlines appear on all of them and they start to switch randomly to various villains. You click on these symbols and you stop when you manage to get three identical villains from them. Prizes can go as high as 1,000 times the triggering bet.

Betting options and jackpots

You are allowed to place bets of up to $5 per line in this game, where that line wager is the equivalent of using a single coin. With 9 lines available, the bets can get to $45. The minimum coin denomination is at only $0.05, so there is plenty of room to maneuver within the betting range ($0.05 to $45 per spin).

You can go home with a 8,000 coins prize, and since that amount turns into dollars, you can end up with $40,000, if you risked with a larger bet during that round. The alternative is winning one of the progressive jackpots offered by Marvel, all of them randomly given and with different values. In order of value, from high to low, they are called Marvel Hero, Super Hero and Hero.

Design and symbols

The Marvel inspired design looks great, as it usually happens in titles that are licensed officially. You will find various characters and scenes from the Daredevil comics in the game, each one of the level of quality you’ve come to expect from Marvel. Daredevil and Elektra are both on the reels and near them, with the background being the roof of some sort of building.

Symbols: Daredevil (wild), Daredevil Logo (scatter, 100x triggering wager), Matt Murdock (4,000x), Elektra (1,000x), Kingpin (500x), Bullseye (500x), Nunchucks (250x), Trident Weapon (250x), Lady Justice (200x), Toxic Barrel (200x), Boxing Gloves (100x) and Newspaper (100x).

Is It Worth Playing?

Those playing Daredevil will get a nice reminder of how good the comic book is, so its fans should definitely give it a go. With $40,000 in prizes, plus progressive jackpots and a couple of average features, Daredevil would be a slot I’d recommend that you try out.

Daredevil, The Comic Book

Marvel is the designer behind Daredevil, a comic book that was released by them in 1964, having its own series from the start. The thing that makes Daredevil special is the fact that the one that takes on this name is actually blind, as a result of a radioactive substance exposure. He might be blind, but all his other senses were enhanced by the same substance.

Following his father’s death at the hands of some gangsters, Matt Murdock takes on the red suit and wants revenge for what happened. Some of his most well known enemies include Kingpin and Bullseye. You will find that there are more than just comic books out there with Daredevil as the hero. There were animated series created, a TV series that started in April 2015 and video games, not to mention slot machines.

The Daredevil slot machine is offered through the Cryptologic platform, so if you want to play it for real or just to practice, look out for casinos that use it.
