High Roller5 Slots

High-Roller5Despite the name, High Roller5 is not a game destined for high rollers, or at least not for them alone. Its theme is inspired heavily by the classic pub slots, with fruits and bar symbols all present in it. Its rather simple nature is also shown in the limited number of paylines that are found in it. With even the top jackpot being below average for the industry, the game fails to show any qualities that would explain the high roller description given to it by its name.

A 5 reel/5 payline slot machine, High Roller5 has few features to give you, but it still manages to scrounge up a wild symbol and a bonus feature, with payouts reaching $15,000. IGT is the developer behind this slot machine.

Features of High Roller5

You will notice that this game doesn’t really believe in going big with features either, the wild symbol being one important part of it, while the bonus game is the other. What I did enjoy about it is its ability to award its prizes starting from both the right and the left side of the screen, so you can build your combinations both ways, increasing the chance of a paying combination being formed.

The wild symbol is quite basic, as it can only give you some help with the other combinations, but that’s where its usefulness stops. On the other hand, it is advertised as a feature that can substitute for all others, even the bonus symbol.

Speaking of the bonus symbol, it is going to have to appear on the same payline a minimum of three times, starting from one of the sides of the game, in order to get the bonus feature started. In it, you can expect up to 500x the bet in prizes, which should mean up to $12,500.

Betting options and jackpots

Your only option in this game is to choose the stake per line, starting at $0.10 and going up to $5. With all 5 lines selected by the game, this translates in wagers in the $0.50 to $25 range.

Normal payouts from symbols go up to 2,000x, or $10,000. The bonus feature can get you up to $12,500 in prizes, with the maximum bet used. The $15,000 of the top jackpot (3,000x) is obtained with the help of small numbers that appear randomly in the corner of regular symbols. These numbers go from 1 to 5, and you need to form a line with symbols that have numbers on them starting from 1 and going up to 5, or starting from 5 and going down towards 1.

Design and symbols

The design doesn’t impress one bit, though I have to say that the abstract background image, with its yellow decorations, looks quite elegant and out of place for this slot machine. The gold like yellow is actually used in the construction of the reels as well.

Symbols: Wild, Bonus (500x the bet) Red 7 (2,000x), Double Bar (1,000x), Golden Bell (500x), Single Bar (150x) and Cherry (50x).

Is It Worth Playing?

The game doesn’t deliver on its promises, so it’s not a high roller’s game, but it will do just fine if you have a low or mid-range budget and you’re looking to spend it on a simple game. It still has some features, like any modern game should, but the classic influence is also felt in it.

You will find High Roller5 at any online casino which chooses to use software from IGT, playable either for free or for real money.
