Jeopardy Slots

JeopardyBased on one of the most recognizable TV game shows, Jeopardy will give you a pretty good looking and accurate representation of the TV series it is based on, and with a number of good features and payouts available, it should be a slot machine you don’t want to miss. The game show that served as inspiration is hugely popular in the US, being a trivia show where you have to answer questions, from different topics, and you get rewards when you answer correctly (though you answer with questions, after you’re given the answer, so it’s not your typical game show).

You will find only 9 paylines on the 5 reels of Jeopardy, the payouts reaching $125,000, while the bonus games, wild symbols, multipliers and scatters all contribute to the atmosphere and manage to make this a game you don’t want to miss out on.

Features of Jeopardy

Though there are only two special symbols with extra roles in Jeopardy, both of them have plenty to offer, the wild bringing with it a multiplier, while the scatter has the bonus game as its reward.

The Double Jeopardy symbol gets you one of the best features available in this game, the wild with 2x multipliers. What this means, is that whenever a wild symbol makes an appearance in the game and substitutes for another symbol, the winning combination formed with its help takes advantage of a 2x multiplier and its payout is doubled. Having a wild in one of these new combinations is a good idea, as it will always double the prize. There is another reason why the Double Jeopardy logo is useful, the fact that with its help the top jackpot goes to 25,000x, instead of 2,500x. Three Double Jeopardy wilds, followed by two Jeopardy logos, on the same line, will get you that huge prize.

Jeopardy Bonus

As for the second major feature icon of the slot, it’s called Jeopardy Bonus. These are not scatter symbols, so they need to appear three times on the same payline, and if that happens, the Multi-Level Jeopardy Bonus starts up. It’s a game show themed bonus feature, where you get 30 screens to pick from. Each time you make a choice, you get a bonus prize. You can keep picking until the Final Jeopardy symbol is uncovered. Its appearance will take you to the Final Jeopardy bonus feature, the second level of the game.

During this second level, a single question is asked, and you choose the contestant that will answer it. A correct answer gets you an extra prize, on top of your collected winnings. If the contestant doesn’t answer correctly, money is taken out of your winnings instead.

Betting options and jackpots

With bets that go from $1 to $5 for each payline that gets activated, the slot doesn’t feel prohibitively expensive, since with only 9 lines that makes the biggest bet reach $45. $1 is the absolute minimum that you can play with in this game, but that will get you only one payline active.

Normally, the game’s top payouts reach 2,500x the line bet, or $12,500. With the Double Jeopardy wild involved, this can turn into 25,000x instead, or up to $125,000.

Design and symbols

Since it is based on the game show, the action takes place on the original set, with the famous Jeopardy screen visible and being used as the area with the 5 reels. Various symbols that appear on these reels will look like they are choices of topics, along with some symbols that are more on the classic side. Fans of the game show will definitely enjoy this game, it’s designed well enough to make it a good choice.

Is It Worth Playing?

Jeopardy, the TV Game Show

“Jeopardy!” is the name of a TV game show that was initially released in the United States, launched in 1964 by NBC, with its creator being Merv Griffin. It’s a competition, where the contestants are given the answers, and they have to figure out what the question is. For example, they are told that a player scored a certain number of times during a season, and they have to phrase the question that contains the name of that player. It had a few different versions, with years when it wasn’t on the air, but the version that was started in 1984 is still going on strong today. This latest version has as host Alex Trebek, while the announcer is Johnny Gilbert.

There are more than 6,000 episodes of Jeopardy aired already, the game show has won a Peabody Award and 31 Emmy Awards, making it one of the most successful shows ever.

The Jeopardy slot machine is offered through the IGT platform, so if you want to play it for real or just to practice, look out for casinos that use it.
