White Orchid is a gorgeous game, as you would expect it to be since its focus is on flowers. That might be its focus, but you still get people among its symbols, primitive ones by the looks of it, the kind you would see in a story about Tarzan. Its delicate design includes quite a few flowers, especially pink ones, the surrounding design being one of the better looking ones I’ve seen lately. It’s a game that was created by the developers and designers from IGT.
With just 5 reels, White Orchid manages to include both 40 paylines and 1024 ways to win, each part requiring its own wager to get started. Besides the profitable Multiway system, players will also discover inside wilds, scatters and free spins. Payouts will go up to $25,000, quite generous since there are so many different chances to get paid.
Features of White Orchid
The Multiway system is a huge part of the slot’s attractiveness, but they also have wild symbols, free spins and scatters inside.
Multiway is the name of a ways to win system that is optional here. Normally, you just have to play on the slot’s 40 lines, but you also get the option to activate the ways to win. The thing that I love is that you get both ways to win and paylines in a single game, so you have way more chances to walk away with a profit from it. The Multiway system allows you to form combinations with symbols that are on consecutive reels, but there are no real paylines in it to be considered. You get 1024 ways to win during each round, and I find that impressive.
The pink White Orchid logo is the slot’s only wild symbol. Its appearance is reserved for the reels 2 to 5, so the only one that doesn’t get it is the 1st reel. It will not act as a substitute for a scatter symbol, but that’s to be expected.
The actual image of the White Orchid appears on the symbol that acts as the scatter. It’s an unusual type of scatter though, one that can appear only on the 3rd reel. You can get multiple scatters on that reel, up to four of them. You need at least two scatters on the 3rd reel, for the free spins to start up.
White Falls Free Games
Two scatter symbols, on the 3rd reel, will get you 10 free games. Three scatters will result in 15 spins. Getting all four White Orchid scatters means a round of 20 free spins, the maximum available. Retriggering these spins is possible, as long as the same requirement is met.
Betting options and jackpots
There are two parts to the betting system. The first one uses a number of coins, 40 required to trigger the paylines and another 40 to get the ways to wins system started. You can use only the 40 paylines if you wish, or you can use both. The second part of the bet is the use of the Bet Multiplier, going from 1 to 5. The bets vary between $80 and $400, depending on the bet multiplier, if you decide to max out the number of coins and chances to win.
You can get up to $25,000 from a combination of symbols that appears on a regular payline. Prizes offered through the Multiway system are a lot less profitable, with $2,500 being the most you can get from them.
Design and symbols
The design of White Orchid benefits a lot from the background image used behind the reels, with lots of pink flowers surrounding it in the top half, while at the bottom you get mostly regular green plants. A certain wild element is also present, represented both by the Tarzan like man, the Native woman or the wild animals that are used among the symbols.
Symbols: Logo (wild), White Orchid (scatter), Woman (5,000x), Man (2,000x), Leopard (1,000x), Butterfly (500x), Frog (500x), Ace (300x), King (300x), Queen (150x) and Jack (150x).
Is It Worth Playing?
White Orchid is a game that you will find difficult not to enjoy, especially graphics wise. It has its share of features as well, and I’m especially a fan of the combination of paylines and ways to win, which IGT uses in a couple of slots of theirs.
The White Orchid slot machine is offered through the IGT platform, so if you want to play it for real or just to practice, look out for casinos that use it.
