Funhouse Slots

FunhouseFunhouse might sound like it’s going to be a fun game, but once you see the creepy clown head that’s smiling at you from behind the logo area you’re not going to be that convinced about it. Like it usually happens with Microgaming slot machines, this one also combines the chosen theme with the classic look, so you get both in the same package. There is that creepy clown, there are bags of sweets, but other than that it’s not very clear what happens in this funhouse of theirs.

You get as many paylines as possible from a 3 reel game, meaning 5 total. The wild symbol is the only major feature. It’s the symbol that can also award a $25,000 top prize.

Features of Funhouse

The Funhouse Logo is the one that gets to act as a wild symbol, and that’s the only feature that the game will offer you. As you play the game, you have to spin the reels and from time to time you will find Funhouse Logos on the reels. There are 5 lines, so the simple presence of the wild doesn’t guarantee you that it will be able to help out. It has to appear on a payline with two matching symbols already on it, or there have to be two wilds together with a random third symbol. If one of these two situations takes place, the wild(s) will substitute for the missing symbol(s) and new combinations will be created.

The same Logo wild is also going to give out its own prizes, but you need all three win line positions to be occupied by it. Next, you get a prize, whose value depends on the line that the combo formed on. Between 1,000 coins and 5,000 coins are offered by this combo, on lines 1 to 5.

Betting options and jackpots

You have to bet only one coin on each payline if you want to activate it, so with five lines in it you can use five coins. Each one will be valued in the $0.25 to $5 range, the choice being left up to you. The maximum wager of Funhouse is at $25.

The line on which you get three Funhouse Logos will determine how much the top jackpot will be worth. The minimum is 1,000 coins, offered for the first payline combo. The fifth line is the one that gives out the most, 5,000 coins ($25,000).

Design and symbols

The fun that the title mentions isn’t immediately clear when you look at the design. There is some sort of creepy clown that is placed behind the game area, so it’s mostly like the beginning of a horror movie than something you’d want to take your kids to. There is that game logo and a bag with sweets of different kinds, but that’s about it for the themed symbols. All the others are classic icons.

Symbols: Funhouse Logo (5,000 coins, wild), Bag of sweets (80 coins), Green Three Bars (60 coins), Red Two Bars (40 coins) and Orange One Bar (10 coins).

Is It Worth Playing?

It doesn’t stand out in any way, though few classic slots do that anyway. I’m not a fan of the scary clown theme either, but at least you will find a wild symbol inside.

This Funhouse slot is offered by all online casinos with Microgaming software, playable either in practice or in real money mode.
