House of Dragons Slots

House-of-DragonsWith a title like House of Dragons, the theme of the game isn’t immediately apparent, since it could be Chinese, it could be inspired by the Targaryen house from Game of Thrones, or it could be your run of the mill dragon story from the Medieval Ages. We’re getting the Chinese themed dragon game here, and it’s a very good symbol to use when talking about this civilization. The Chinese believe that they are descendents that come from dragons, and it is considered a good and dignified creature. In fantasy stories and movies dragons are rarely as good as the Chinese see them.

With some very impressive graphics, with features that include multipliers, bonus games, wilds and scatters, House of Dragons looks like a game that will be easy to enjoy. Payouts are quite good as well, going up to $50,000.

Features of House of Dragons

The features of House of Dragons don’t bring great and new things to you, but it’s a solid game nonetheless. It has two types of wilds, one of them with a multiplier, plus scatter symbols and a bonus game.

The more interesting of the two wilds is the one with the Golden Dragon. This Golden Dragon substitutes for any other symbol, and it is capable of appearing on all the reels, so you can also get combinations of up to five Dragons in them. You get paid better with the Dragon’s help, than with any other symbol, as it offers you up to 10,000x as the top jackpot. It also has a multiplier, of 2x, which is applied to any win that a wild contributed to, so the prizes are doubled thanks to it.

The second wild is a bit more basic, without any multipliers, and offering its own payouts of up to 5,000x. It’s still a very useful feature, but you no longer get the higher prizes when it gets involved, since no multiplier is used.

Bonus Game

The third symbol of the slot is the scatter symbol, with a beautiful Chinese hand fan on it. This symbol has to appear in scattered locations, at least three times, before you gain access to its bonus feature. Depending on the number of triggering scatters, and on the figures that appear from those hand fans, you get anywhere between 2 and 800 coins.

Archery Game

The fourth symbol of the feature list is the bonus symbol, the one that has the Archery image on it. You need this symbol to appear on the same line, with 3 to 5 symbols. You will get a bonus game from it when this happens, but you don’t have to go through it if you don’t want to.

You win between 160 and 1,600 coins from the bonus symbols, and the bonus game gives you a chance to multiply the prize by up to 4x, but you can also lose the money if you don’t hit the target.

Betting options and jackpots

You choose how many lines should be active, out of the 20 available, plus how many coins they should get. You can wager up to 10 coins on each active line, with their denomination reaching $0.50, so the line bet stops at $5. The total for the 20 lines is $100.

The game will promise payouts of up to 10,000x, so 100,000 coins at a $50,000 total value can be won.

Design and symbols

The design of the slot looks absolutely stunning when the Chinese element gets involved, but there are a few symbols that look out of place, showing of boring playing cards. The Chinese symbols are of very good quality, with a lot of small details included in each case, and with a look that’s definitely Chinese. The background image seems to be taken from one of their cities, with the architecture of the buildings being unmistakable.

Symbols: Dragon (10,000x, wild), Emperor (5,000x, wild), Hand Fan (scatter), Archery (bonus), Chinese Coin (300x), Lantern (200x), Ace (150x), King (125x), Queen (100x), Jack (75x) and Ten (50x).

Is It Worth Playing?

Even if you don’t usually go for slot machines with a Chinese theme, House of Dragons feels different, with a much better quality than most and prizes that are more than generous.
