Features of Lucky Shot
Even the themes look better than they do in other slots, even though the wild symbol is missing. Instead, you get multiple scatter symbols, along with free spins, a bonus game and multipliers.
First of all, you have the Gopher scatter symbol, which pays a prize and then it triggers the bonus game as well. The prize is worth anywhere between 2x and 50x the total bet, depending on how many Gophers were present in the game.
Gopher Bonus
The presence of 3 to 5 Gopher scatters, on adjacent reels, will trigger the Gopher bonus game for you. The fact that they have to be on adjacent reels is a limitation in this case, since many scatters don’t have that requirement.
The more scatters that trigger this feature, the more picks you can make during the bonus game. You’re on a screen, and you’re choosing gophers to shoot golf balls at. If you’re lucky, and you hit the right holes, you get paid.
Depending on your luck, and on the number of triggering symbols, the payouts go from 6x to 75x the bet for three Gophers, 20x to 160x for four and 50x to 300x the bet for five.
Free Games Feature
The second scatter symbol is the Golf Cart, which has two roles as well. It offers the same 2x to 50x the bet payouts, for three to five symbols, and then it starts up the free spins as well.
3 to 5 Golf Carts which show up on adjacent reels will start up either 9 or 18 free games, with 2x multipliers.
The scatter symbols payouts are improved considerably during the free spins. Both the Golf Cart and the Gopher will pay between 10x and 200x the total bet, for three to five matching scatter symbols.

You get to cover as many lines as you want, between 1 and 20 being available. You also use anywhere between 1 and 10 coins for each payline, while denominations start at $0.01 and reach $0.50. With up to 200 coins of $0.50 that can be used, the highest wagers are worth $100.

Design and symbols
The design of Lucky Shot actually appears to be modern and done in the last couple of years, while most of its competitors look dated. There are cartoon characters that look a bit like caricatures, plus plenty of golf themed objects. All symbols are themed, there is nothing that doesn’t belong on those reels.
