Party Island Slots

Party-IslandParty Island looks like a slot that is inspired by Ibiza, an island where people go to enjoy music and to party all night long. There are beaches shown, large speakers, cocktails, DJ’s spinning and lots of beautiful girls, so you have all the ingredients for an enjoyable game. I haven’t seen a slot quite like this one, at least when it comes to the chosen theme, so I’m glad that Microgaming is offering it.

5 reels & 9 win lines are part of Party Island, which might not be enough for a lot of people. You do get the usual free spins, scatters, multipliers and wilds as you play, so in that regard it’s a pretty normal game. The game’s biggest prize is worth $50,000.

Features of Party Island

While there are no exceptional features offered by Party Island, the game hits all the right spots with the ones that are included. The wild symbol has a multiplier, as do the free spins which are triggered with the help of the scatter symbols.

The Party Island Logo serves as the wild symbol. This symbol is going to be part of both its own combinations and of others, when it manages to act as a substitute and help you get a win which wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. All wins which are obtained with the help of a wild symbol are worth twice as much, a 2x multiplier being applied by it. From time to time, you will also find that the wild creates its own combinations of two to five symbols, offering payouts that go as high as the top jackpot.

With the Disco Ball scatter, you get some very impressive prizes, but you also have free spins which are obtained with its help. Between two and five Disco Balls, when scattered on the game’s reels, will award prizes which vary between 2x and 750x. That multiplier is applied to the total wager of the last round, which makes that top prize very impressive.

Free Games Feature

The free spins which are brought by the scattered Disco Balls will offer you 15 rounds that you don’t pay for, and besides that you also get 3x multipliers for all the wins obtained along the way. You need 3, 4 or 5 scattered symbols in order to get access to this feature.

Betting options and jackpots

9 lines can be activated for each round, and you decide how many will be used. You also pick the denomination ($0.01 to $1) and the number of coins for each line (1 to 5). Line bets only go up to $5, while the total bet goes up to $45.

The jackpot offers you 10,000 times the amount wagered on a single line, which brings the value up to $50,000. It’s a generous prize, certainly above average for the industry.

Design and symbols

The game looks like a lot of fun, with a sun themed design that uses a lot of orange, but which is tastefully used and it makes it look like the perfect holiday destination. As I’ve said before, there are all the ingredients for a great vacation if you’re young and you want to dance, sit on a beach, drink fruity cocktails and maybe do a bit of surfing. If you reach the free spins mode you’re going to notice that the reels turn black, which is definitely not a great look for them.

Symbols: Party Island Logo (10,000x, wild), Disco Ball (scatter, 750x the bet), Girls Dancing (1,000x), DJ Equipment (800x), Sunset (600x), Girl on beach (400x), Cocktails (250x), Ace (100x), King (90x), Queen (80x), Jack (70x), 10 (60x) and 9 (50x).

Is It Worth Playing?

The party atmosphere is well done and for me it’s the biggest advantage of this game, along with the $50,000 top prize.

The Party Island slot machine is offered through the Microgaming platform, so if you want to play it for real or just to practice, look out for casinos that use it.
