Fruit Shop Slots

Fruit-ShopFruit Shop is your typical fruit themed slot machine, this time coming from Net Ent, but without being one of the new 3D slots that they’re so well known for these days. It seems to be an older slot of theirs, which still looks good, but nowhere close to what these guys can do right now. There are all sorts of classic fruit symbols on the reels, together with playing cards, so it feels like a slot machine graveyard, where all the overused symbols go to die, as these are usually the items that get the lowest paying roles in other games. A Fruit Shop is the actual location where the reels are placed.

The payouts of Fruit Shop are the ones that are above average, in every other way the slot being on that line or below it. It offers $40,000 and it has 5 reels and 15 lines, while among its features you’re going to discover free spins, multipliers and wilds.

Features of Fruit Shop

Though it might have a classic inspiration, the game doesn’t feel that way, as it has enough features that are interesting, with wilds, free spins and multipliers among them.

The Fruit Shop Logo gets the honor of acting as the symbol with substitution abilities. The wild is capable of taking over for other symbols, when other matching icons are nearby on the same payline, so that a combo can be formed. The location of the wild has to allow it to do that, as it will not do it for paylines it is not a part of. Whatever combination it helps form, it will also apply a 2x multiplier to it, doubling its prize.

Free Games Feature

The great part about the free spins in Fruit Shop is that they don’t need scatter symbols to get started. Instead, they are awarded whenever combinations of fruits appear on the reels. For example, getting 2 to 5 cherries in a combo will get you 1 to 5 free spins as well, besides the usual prizes. For the other four types of fruit, you need 3 to 5 matching symbols, with the same range of 1 to 5 free spins (1 for 3 symbols, 2 for four symbols and 5 spins for five symbols).

Once the free spins have begun, you can retrigger them with the same fruit symbols, plus the playing cards can also do the same thing now. Any combo of symbols you get in free spins will give you extra spins. All the free spins have 2x multipliers.

Betting options and jackpots

You can go with your wagers up to $150 for a single spin of its reels, with 10 coins used for each line and with denominations going up to $1. The lowest denomination is only at $0.01 though, plus you can use fewer coins and activate fewer paylines, so there is a lot of room to decrease the total bet.

This affordable game has prizes that will give you up to 4,000 times what you put in a single line. The $40,000 that is offered by the game should be a decent motivator to try it out, no matter what you think about the rest of the slot.

Design and symbols

The design is simple enough. You see a store front on the main screen, with the entire area being occupied by white reels. They have two types of symbols, besides the Logo Wild. The fruits are the ones that are more valuable, while the playing cards are the second class symbols in this case. All the playing cards are blue, so it’s a bit of a common color on the reels. The fruits look good enough, but I’ve seen modern games with better looking graphics when it came to them.

Symbols: Logo (wild), Cherries (2,000x), Plum (1,000x), Lemon (750x), Orange (500x), Melon (200x), Ace (150x), King (100x), Queen (75x), Jack (60x) and 10 (50x).

Is It Worth Playing?

I for one wasn’t impressed with Fruit Shop, it’s about fruit after all, but its payouts are beyond the Net Ent average, so you might want to try it out based on that alone. This developer has much better slots under its belt though, so it would be a shame to play this one when so many others are gorgeous and more fun.

The Fruit Shop slot machine is offered through the Net Entertainment platform, so if you want to play it for real or just to practice, look out for casinos that use it.
