Zombies Slots

ZombiesZombies manages to be quite accurate with its title, so you don’t need to do a lot of guesswork to figure out what it is about. It’s about a zombie apocalypse, a game that tries to be disgusting and bloody, with brains sitting on floors, eyeballs that are shown outside of the human head, weapons of mass zombie destruction and so on. It’s not a game for the queasy, but that just means that there will be plenty of people out there that will love it. If you’re one of them, keep reading.

The 5 reels available in Zombies will get you up to 20 bet lines for you to activate. It is a Net Entertainment design, a game with scatter symbols, stacked wilds, multipliers of up to x10 and free spins. The payouts aren’t that impressive in base game mode, up to $10,000 can be won there, but the free spins multipliers can do a lot for you.

Features of Zombies

There are a number of great features in Zombies, a favorite of mine being the free spins round with multipliers, which gets triggered by the scatter symbol. Another would be the stacked wild, also a favorite of mine.

The wild symbol comes in two forms. The regular one takes a single spot on a reel and it is limited to four reels out of five. You don’t get it on the 3rd reel, where the stacked wild makes an appearance instead. This stacked wild can have 1 to 3 symbols that appear on the screen. A nudge feature is activated when the stacked wild is not fully visible, so that it can cover the entire reel with its symbols. Unfortunately, the stacked wild is not offered during free spins. Both wild symbols have the same ability to act as a substitute for another regular symbol, hopefully resulting in a new paying combo appearing on the reels.

From time to time, whenever you have a round that doesn’t trigger free spins or gets you a stacked wild, you might get the random wild feature. This feature gets you up to six wild symbols on the screen, but is only available in the base game.

Free Games Feature

The biohazard container will appear in scattered positions on the middle three reels, where you need all three to be present in order to get a round with 5 free spins. Each spin you get here has a different multiplier, going from x1 for the 1st spin, to x2 for the 2nd, x3 for the 3rd, x5 for the 4th and x10 for the 5th free spin.

Whenever you shoot a zombie during the bonus game that follows the free spins, you increase your Zombie Score and you get a bonus prize from it.

Betting options and jackpots

Considering how much you can take home, the bets are a bit on the high side. They start at just $0.20 and they can reach $200 for a single spin. Each payline has to get at least one coin in the wager, but their bets can reach ten coins. Denominations range from $0.01 to $1.

You might get only 1,000x back, based on the line bet you made, but that means $10,000 in base game mode, while the free spins can apply multipliers of up to x10 to that value.

Design and symbols

The Zombie theme is quite popular these days, and it’s not like with the vampires, where a lot of people love the glamorous version. Here, it’s all about gore, and that’s exactly what Zombies tries to offer. Besides the annoying playing cards, you get two types of symbols in this slot, weapons that work against zombies and parts that belong inside the human head, not outside it. As for the background image, it indicates that the action takes place inside a mall.

Symbols: Wild (wild), Biohazard Container (scatter), Saw (1,000x), Gas Mask (700x), Human Brain (600x), Eyeball (500x), Weapons (400x), Ace (120x), King (100x), Queen (80x), Jack (75x) and 10 (70x).

Is It Worth Playing?

It’s the sort of game that you will enjoy only if you like the genre, so it’s not exactly for everyone. I loved its big multipliers, even though they’re offered only during the free spins, plus the amount of blood and gore that is visible among its symbols.

The Zombies slot machine is offered through the Net Entertainment platform, so if you want to play it for real or just to practice, look out for casinos that use it.
