Fortunate 5 Slots

Fortunate-5Fortunate 5 is one of the better looking and the more original pirate themed slot machines I’ve seen so far. It is designed by Playtech, and it appears that their designers really went all the way here. It’s a gorgeous game, telling the story of a pirate crew with five members in it. The quality of the design is exquisite, but naturally they couldn’t resist the temptation to include some poker cards as well, which is the only thing that I hated about it.

The slot’s progressive jackpots are winnable through combinations formed on the 15 paylines available. You also get re-spins, some very interesting free spins and Super Spins, scatter symbols and wilds.

Features of Fortunate 5

The graphics aren’t alone in making this game a pleasure to play. There are also scatter symbols, free spins, a wild symbol and five different progressive jackpots which are offered by the five characters.

To start with, one of the more unusual parts of the game is concerned with the top prize which comes from each of the Fortunate 5 pirates. Having five symbols of the same type on a payline will activate a progressive jackpot, the value of which you get from the paytable.

While in the base game, the wild symbol has limited coverage, appearing on the middle three reels only. It can substitute for any regular symbol, but not for the scattered Jolly Roger sign.

Wild Waters Free Games

The Jolly Roger, a pirate skull which has two crossed swords underneath it, is the scatter feature, and the one which you need to get the free spins feature going. 3+ symbols trigger it, while two of them will pay you back the bet of that round.

The slot keeps the free spins going for as long as it’s needed to collect five Pirate Ship wilds. Wild symbols are present on all the reels of the slot while the free spins are in use. Once you’ve gotten the five required wild symbols, the free spins end.

You are taken to the Wild Storm Super Spin next. Here, you get the five wilds that you collected on the reels, in random places, and they stay there for one free spin.

2nd Chance Re-Spin

If it happens that you land four identical Pirates on a payline, but you’re missing the last one, which would trigger a progressive jackpot, then you get a 2nd chance re-spin. This only happens if the last required symbol is the one from the 5th reel. That reel will re-spin once, and hopefully the combo will be formed, bringing you the jackpot.

Betting options and jackpots

It’s not a slot that requires too much money. It has 15 lines, it uses 15 coins, and you can use coin values of up to $0.40. The bets will go up to $6.

In exchange for that small amount, you can win one of five progressive jackpots available. Regular prizes only offer up to $200.

Design and symbols

If you look at the symbols and at the surrounding graphics, you will notice that everything with a pirate connection looks great. It’s an impressive looking slot machine, but they also made the decision to use poker cards for about half of the symbols, so it could’ve been a lot better. Themed symbols come with lots of details on them, including the pirate ship, the Jolly Roger and the five pirates of the crew.

Is It Worth Playing?

There is little to be unhappy about in Fortunate 5. You get to fight for one of the five progressive jackpots, you get good features and excellent graphics. I’d definitely suggest you try it out.
