Reel Crime 1 Bank Heist Slots

Reel-Crime-1-Bank-HeistOne of the two Reel Crime slot machines that Rival Gaming has created, Bank Heist does exactly what it suggests, being themed around a bank robbery attempt. The time of the bank heist is at some point in the past, probably before World War 2, a feeling that is confirmed by the presence of Tommy Guns among the symbols of the slot. The bank robbery topic has been approached by a lot of slot machines already, but Reel Crime 1 does seem to do it a bit better than most, so I figure you will have no problem enjoying it.

A 5 reel slot machine, Bank Heist gets a total of 15 paylines. It was designed by Rival Gaming’s developers, it has multiple levels that you advance through, scatter symbols and free spins. The payouts of up to $3,750 are not terribly impressive unfortunately.

Features of Reel Crime 1 Bank Heist

The features of the game rely mostly on scatter symbols and on the four levels that you advance through as you play. You start out with the Plan, then go to the level called In the Bank, then to On The Run, and finally to Dynamite.

Tommy Gun Feature

You first get a Tommy Gun scatter symbol, which will trigger for you the bonus game. Win this part and you advance to the next level, called In the Bank. If you lose this feature, you advance to “On the Run”. In this bonus game you use a Tommy Gun and you take shots at a number of items that you pick. Setting off the alarm makes you go on the run, while getting the key advances you to the next level.

In The Bank

If you got the Key while playing the Tommy Gun feature, you advance to this next level. You pick the coin value at which you want to play this feature, but you can’t modify it later without being returned to the beginning of the level, so be careful what you pick. While playing this round, you try to get inside the Bank Vault. With each spin, you get a chance at Policeman or Robber symbols to appear. Depending on which one you get a minimum of three times, one of the two characters will advance towards the end of the level. You have to reach the end of the level without being caught by the Policeman, and if you manage to do that you get to Dynamite Level. If not, you are taken back to the beginning of the game, in The Plan level.

Caught Bonus Feature

If you are caught by the Policeman, you are returned to the beginning of the game, but you also get a consolation prize, called Caught. Inside, you pick a gangster and a vault, to find out how many spins and multipliers you get out of it.

Dynamite Bonus Feature

If the Policeman didn’t catch you, and you advanced from In The Bank to Dynamite, you will get the chance to place dynamite sticks on a vault door of your choosing, where there are three options to pick from.

Free Games Feature

Free spins can be won in a couple of different ways. The Getaway or Caught features are one way, while another is through the Dynamite Bonus Game’s scatter symbols. Getting two to five Dynamite symbols on the reels will trigger 1 to 25 free spins for the player. There is also a 5x multiplier, but only when you have all five scatters and the 25 free spins.

Betting options and jackpots

The full betting range of the game is between $0.01 and $75. Each of the slot’s 15 lines gets up to 5 coins and they are valued between $0.01 and $1 each one. You decide what the coin’s value should be and how many of them should be selected for each line.

That $5 line bet can turn your investment into a $3,750 prize, or about 750x the line bet that you made.

Design and symbols

The design of Reel Crime is attractive, but mostly because of the vintage look that it has. It’s a darker looking game, with plenty of black, with dangerous weapons, money and the outline of a character, without actually showing his face. You can even see bullet holes in the background image, with the betting options taking the form of dials that would’ve been on old radios or TVs from that era.

Symbols: Tommy Gun (scatter), Gangster (750x), Money (500x), Poison (250x), Violin Case (250x), Night Stick (200x), Hat (200x), Shoes (200x) and Brass Knuckles (200x).

Is It Worth Playing?

Both Reel Crime slots are interesting, and the features and design are definitely worth pursuing, but the top jackpot is somewhat disappointing. If you can get over it, you should definitely try this slot out.

This Reel Crime 1 Bank Heist slot is offered by all online casinos with Rival software, playable either in practice or in real money mode.
