Ninja Star Slots

Ninja-StarOffered by RTG, Ninja Star is quite clear about the theme it offers its players. The Ninja theme has been used in many other slot machines, being a very exciting subject for anyone that loves watching martial arts movies or is simply a fan of all cool things. While the game uses plenty of non-themed icons (aka poker cards), there are also all sorts of ninja and Japanese themed icons present on the reels and the design is inspired by the country where the Ninja originates from.

Designed by RTG, the game has 5 reels, 20 bet lines and on the list of features you will discover bonus games, free spins, scatter symbols, 3x multipliers and wilds. Despite the high number of coins offered, only $2,500 can be won in this game.

Features of Ninja Star

I’ve enjoyed seeing many of the features which Ninja Star mentions. The stacked wild is one of them, the scatter another, and then we get free spins, 3x multipliers and a bonus game which has its own triggering symbol.

The Ninja is obviously the main character here, and it has the role of the wild to play. As a stacked wild, it’s going to appear on three reels out of the five available. Those reels are the 1st, 3rd and 5th. Wilds substitute for all regular icons, so as long as they’re trying to form a combo they get its help.

A Ninja Star icon is going to take the role of the scatter symbol here, responsible for triggering some very cool prizes, which go up to 250x the value of the round’s bet if you have enough of them on the reels (up to 5 needed).

Free Games Feature

The Ninja Star scatter symbol is going to start up the free spins for you, with 8 rounds being offered when 3+ such symbols are present during the same spin. There are a couple of cool things to know about these free spins, like the 3x multiplier which triples prizes, or the fact that Logo symbols turn into wilds or scatters when they appear. Retriggering the free spins is another possibility.

Ninja Scroll Feature

One interesting thing about this slot is the way the Ninja Scroll bonus game starts up. The same symbols which award the top jackpot, the ones with the Japanese Logo on them, will be responsible for the bonus game as well, so you get both the prize and the feature. 3+ symbols are needed on an active line, from left to right.

The bonus game shows you four sets with two scrolls each. The upper row gives you a prize, while the bottom row gives you a message which can be either Feature Over, Next Level, or Pick Again. If you go to the next level, the same thing happens, but now you get a chance at an even bigger prize.

Betting options and jackpots

A single coin is used for each payline, and all 25 lines need to be selected. You can modify the bet from the starting $0.20, all the way up to $5. The line bet goes from $0.01 to $0.25 in the meantime.

If the maximum bet of $5 was used, the 10,000 coins which can be won inside will give you up to $2,500 cash.

Design and symbols

About half of the slot’s symbols are ninja related in some way, while the other half is made up of poker cards which are drawn to look almost like Japanese writing. The gate to the temple is shown behind the reels, the image being taken at night. You have light blue reels in the front, with decorated borders separating them. It’s a game which looks like it should be, but which could’ve been a lot better without the use of poker cards.

Symbols: Ninja (wild), Ninja Star (250x total bet, scatter), Japanese Logo (10,000 coins), Temple (5,000 coins), Blades (2,000 coins), Sword (2,000 coins), Ace (500 coins), King (500 coins), Queen (250 coins), Jack (250 coins), 10 (100 coins) and 9 (100 coins).

Is It Worth Playing?

It’s a cheap enough game that pretty much everyone can afford to play it. It offers a good return on your investment if you get the top prize, but since the line bets are small it will not be an impressive payout. High rollers might want to keep looking.

This Ninja Star slot is offered by all online casinos with RTG software, playable either in practice or in real money mode.
