Fistful of Dollars Slots

Fistful-of-DollarsDesigned by BetOnSoft (Saucify these days), Fistful of Dollars seems to be themed around the 1964 movie with the same name, a Western that had Clint Eastwood among its better known actors. It’s considered to be one of the best Westerns ever made, but if it’s themed around it the game doesn’t want to show it, using 3D animation characters that don’t resemble the original actors too well. Even if it’s not themed around that movie, it’s a Wild West inspired slot, and fans of the genre should still take a look at it.

While playing Fistful of Dollars, the bets you place will cover up to 30 bet lines, on 5 reels. The game also presents you with wilds and scatters, along with the obligatory free spins and their 4x multipliers. Top prizes reach $6,000.

Features of Fistful of Dollars

The game’s features give you expanding wilds, scatter symbols, free spins and 4x multipliers for their wins.

Two Gun Slingers are on the 2nd and the 4th reels. Each of these wilds can expand and cover the entire reel they are on. They have the ability to substitute for missing symbols, as long as the result is a new combo forming up. Since they expand, the entire reel is covered and you get three wilds on it at the same time. Wilds can’t replace a scatter, but in every other situation they will be able to act as substitutes.

Free Games Feature

The only other type of feature symbol that you get is the scatter, the one which has the Wanted Poster on it. The name scatter comes from the symbol’s ability to appear scattered on the reels, in no predetermined position, and yet still be able to give you free spins by being in at least three spots at the same time.

The game will offer you for 3, 4 or 5 scatters, a total of 10, 15 or 20 free spins, respectively. The wins benefit from 4x multipliers, so they are all quadrupled compared to what the paytable mentions.

Betting options and jackpots

You can bet a maximum of $1 per line here, but you need to use 10 coins of $0.10 to get there. The smallest coin value is $0.01. The slot has 30 lines, so the maximum bet is $30.

The game’s 60,000 coins come from a top prize of 6,000x, a multiple which seems to be a favorite for this developer. The cash value is $6,000 at best.

Design and symbols

The setting is a normal one for a Wild West themed slot machine. You see the desert behind the reels. The reels seem to be encased in some sort of decorated stone frame, unusual but looking good. The symbols are all themed, with gold nuggets, bandits, gun slingers, hats, boots and badges, among others. The graphics style is not one that I’m crazy about, but it will work if you’re a fan of Westerns.

Is It Worth Playing?

It’s a game for the fans of the movie with the same name, or for the Wild West genre in general. The design or the features don’t see to be good enough to attract those that don’t feel strongly about it.

The Fistful of Dollars slot machine is offered through the Saucify/BetOnSoft platform, so if you want to play it for real or just to practice, look out for casinos that use it.
