With dozens and dozens of games like this one already out on the market, it’s quite hard to pick one over the other, and those that rise to the top tend to be quite exceptional. This title doesn’t quite seem to make the cut, but lets see the review and the details on how it works.
Like many other slots from Top Game’s collection, this one also has 20 lines and 5 reels. As its features, there is a bonus game with free spins, plus two wild symbols, one of which is also used as a scatter symbol with some very good prizes. The slot’s jackpot is valued at $20,000.
Features of New Tales of Egypt
The features are somewhat unusual, but pleasantly so, with two wild symbols, one of which also acts as a scatter and can trigger a bonus game and free spins.
The first of the wild symbols is the one that has a diamond on it. It will replace any icon that doesn’t have a feature attached to it, so it doesn’t work on the scatter, but that’s about it. As the wild, it will do what is supposed to do from any location it might land on, but the rest of the symbols on that line have to be already in place. The wild also offers prizes directly, awarding up to 1,000x through combinations of up to five Diamonds.
The second wild symbol is also the one that can act as a scatter, awarding prizes from random locations on the reels. As a wild, it’s a typical feature of this type, giving you more chances to get money from the slot. As a scatter, it appears in three to five locations and gives you 2x to 200x the bet value as a prize.
Rosetta Stone Bonus Game
The same 3+ scattered Pyramids that give you prizes will also trigger the bonus game called Rosetta Stone. An extra scatter is used for the duration of the free spins that can be won in this bonus game, and it is chosen from among the higher paying symbols of the slot. It will keep paying like before, but it will do it from scattered positions on the reels.

Design and symbols
As I’ve mentioned before, there is a lot of competition when it comes to Egyptian themed slot machines, so it’s quite difficult for a title to rise to the top, especially if they do it based on graphics alone. It’s a good effort from Top Game in this category, but it’s not quite good enough to be a great Egyptian title. The features are more intriguing then the design manages to be. It uses both themed symbols and simple playing cards, and it has a good quality when it comes to the symbols.

The theme and design don’t help it much, but I rather enjoyed the features, especially the wild/scatter mix that is built into one of the symbols. The payouts are somewhat disappointing as well though, so overall I’d say skip this one, unless you want to check out how the features work.
