La Fiesta Slots

La-FiestaLa Fiesta is one of a couple of slots that Wager Gaming has created, with the same theme but with very different results graphics wise. It’s themed around a Mexican party, a fiesta, but Wager also has La Cucaracha, another slot with the same theme but with much better graphics in it. Pinatas play a bigger role in this game than they did in the previous title though.

A 5 reel slot machine, La Fiesta presents you with up to 25 lines to activate, and with features that will bring on them things like wilds or scatter symbols, along with bonus games. A $100,000 top jackpot is the most impressive thing about this slot machine.

Features of La Fiesta

You get one of three features as you play the game, including a scattered Rose, a wild Pinata or a bonus feature.

The Pinata gets the slot’s main role, and that would be the wild symbol in this case. As it often happens, the wild is capable of forming its own combinations, which bring along payouts of up to 10,000 coins. Even a single wild gets you a small prize, so you always get a win when the Pinata is present, even if it didn’t manage to help you create another combo. The substitution ability of the wild doesn’t apply to the scattered Rose symbol.

Speaking of the scattered Rose, this symbol can show up in any random position on the reels, and as long as you have at least two of them you’re going to get paid. The prizes start small enough, from just 1x the bet for two Roses, but they go up quickly, to 5x for three Roses, 25x for four and to 250x the bet for five scatters.

Bonus Game

The Pinata wild is responsible for triggering this feature, and it does it from random positions, behaving like a scatter in this case. You can get up to 3 bonus rounds with its help, the minimum requirement to get them started being the presence of three wilds or more.

During each bonus round you go through, you can break up to four Pinatas, each one showing you what prize you’ve won. The payouts offered by each Pinata vary between 2x and 250x the bet of that round. The feature ends once you’ve gone through your four Pinatas, or when you find an empty one.

Betting options and jackpots

You’re going to have to spend up to $250 for a single spin of La Fiesta, at least if you want to cover all 25 lines with the maximum wager allowed in each case. That wager consists in only one coin, but its value is at $10 when it is highest, while the minimum is $0.01.

Wager Gaming tends to be quite generous with its prizes, and La Fiesta is one of the games where they offer a high multiplier for the line bet, of 10,000x. The jackpot’s value can reach $100,000 thanks to it.

Design and symbols

The theme might be about partying, but you don’t really get the party vibe from it. The symbols placed on the reels are somewhat simple and not exciting enough, plus you get basic cards as well. The background picture gives you two Pinatas and a purple image with silhouettes of people that are supposedly having fun.

Symbols: Pinata (10,000x, wild), Red Rose (250x the bet, scatter), Woman (2,500x), Guitar (1,000x), Trumpet (500x), Cucarachas (500x), Ace (150x), King (150x), Queen (100x), Jack (100x), Ten (100x) and Nine (100x).

Is It Worth Playing?

With so many slot machines that have a Mexican party theme already, it might not seem like it’s worth it, but that $100,000 top jackpot could make all the difference.

The La Fiesta slot machine is offered through the Wager Gaming platform, so if you want to play it for real or just to practice, look out for casinos that use it.
