Orient Express Slots

Orient-ExpressOrient Express is a slot machine that’s in a very special category at Wager Gaming. This developer has a couple of similar slot machines, all of them with 5 reels but with no features whatsoever inside. The number of lines varies, between 5 and 21, with the graphics quality being more in the low end. Overall, it’s nothing to be impressed with, and I can only assume that they’re either very old titles or they’re designed with fans of the classic slot genre in mind, which aren’t looking for features and maybe don’t care as much about graphics.

Even without any features included in the game, it’s still a slot machine with 5 reels and 21 lines, which marks it as a modern game. The biggest prize offered inside is at $25,000.

Features of Orient Express

One of the main things about these slot machines that Wager Gaming creates and which are in their own category as I’ve said before, it’s that they don’t have any features to offer. While every other modern game from these guys will give you at least a wild and a scatter symbol, Orient Express doesn’t have any of that. All you can do is choose the number of lines you want to bet on and spin the reels, hopefully getting a nice prize out of it.

Betting options and jackpots

The full wager range is between $0.01 and $210. You are allowed to use a maximum of 21 coins to activate just as many paylines, their denomination going from the minimum of $0.01 to a maximum of $10.

Your reward, if you get the slot’s best paying symbol to form a full combo, will be worth 2,500 coins, or $25,000.

Design and symbols

The design of the game is one of the things I struggle most with. It’s a simple black background behind the reels, while on them you get some Chinese style symbols. There aren’t as many symbols in this game as there are in other modern titles, so at least you can expect for it to make it easier for players to win something. With Chinese sail ships, dragons and other oriental symbols, Orient Express does make its point theme wise, but I’m not impressed with the results.

Symbols: Dragon (2,500 coins), Gong (1,000 coins), Bonsai Tree (500 coins), Tiger (250 coins), Sushi (100 coins), Fighter (25 coins) and Sail Ship (15 coins).

Is It Worth Playing?

I for one wouldn’t play a game like this, as it doesn’t offer anything truly valuable. It doesn’t have pretty graphics, no features, below average top payouts and it costs just as much to play as any other modern slot from Wager Gaming.

Orient Express can be found at any Wager Gaming casino, where you get a chance to play it for real money or in free mode.
