Pinata Fiesta Slots

Pinata-FiestaPinata Fiesta gets a theme that Wager Gaming seems to be quite fond of, a Mexican party that includes piñatas with candy in them and spicy foods. There are a couple of party themed slots already in their collection, and at least one of them has the piñata theme, but I believe this is the only one that is built on top of a classic 3 reel layout, so if you prefer this kind of game you might not have as many options.

You will get in Pinata Fiesta the layout of a classic slot machine (3 reels/1 line), but the features of a modern title (wilds, multipliers and bonus games triggered by their own symbols). The top jackpot is not as impressive ($24,000), but considering the smaller bets it’s not bad either.

Features of Pinata Fiesta

One of the types of games that Wager Gaming creates uses a couple of features, while others have none. This is the kind that has both bonus games and wilds with attached multipliers, my favorite type of classic slot machine. The features only get activated if the wager has 3 coins in it, which also increases the top jackpot. However, the rest of the regular symbols have the same payout as in a 2 coin wager. You don’t get these features when you use one or two coins.

The wild symbol would be the first feature mentioned on the paytable, and the most impressive one. It multiplies prizes of combinations it contributes to, doubling their value when a single wild is part of the active line. If two wilds do the same thing, the value of the prize is worth four times as much, as they pool their resources together. Three wilds form their own combination and the result is the top jackpot of 2,400 coins/$24,000.

Bonus Game

The other major feature that this classic slot has is a bonus symbol, represented by the Pinata itself. You only need one of these bonus symbols to get access to the bonus feature, where you are presented with a screen filled with candy, from which you have to pick the ones you want prizes from.

Betting options and jackpots

Those that maximize the wager end up with $10 coins and bets of up to $30. Those that go to the minimum can use a single coin of $0.01. There is plenty of room between these extremes, to accommodate pretty much every type of player.

Those that select all the coins available and max out the denomination will end up with top jackpots of $24,000, the equivalent of 2,400 coins.

Design and symbols

The Mexican and party theme blend well together, and the paytable would be the best looking part of the slot. You get all these Mexican sombreros, chili peppers of different colors and cucarachas, so for the most part it’s a slot that uses themed symbols. The area outside the game zone is the same classic one though, where you have other slots nearby.

Symbols: Sombrero (2,400 coins), wild), Pinata (bonus), Cucarachas (160 coins), Three Yellow Peppers (80 coins), Two Orange Peppers (50 coins), One Red Pepper (20 coins) and Candy (20 coins).

Is It Worth Playing?

It’s feature rich, it tries to be upbeat and fun, it has decent top prizes and good enough graphics. If this is the type of game you’re after, the slot is not a bad choice.

The Pinata Fiesta slot machine is offered through the Wager Gaming platform, so if you want to play it for real or just to practice, look out for casinos that use it.
