Giant’s Gold appears to be a slot machine which takes inspiration from the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, only here we get a very attractive girl in the main role. While we don’t get Jack among the symbols, I can’t say that I have a problem with the replacement they made here. The game is highly unusual, with two sets of 5 reels present, one which has four symbols and the other twelve symbols per reel. WMS, the creator of the slot, has quite a few of these slot machines, with sets of reels which are of different sizes.
While using two different sets of reels, one normal, the other colossal, Giant’s Gold manages to give you up to 100 paylines. On them, symbols can be stacked, can include wilds, scatters and can bring you free spins with multipliers. It sounds great so far, so naturally there is a downside as well, the top prizes which only reach $1,000.
Features of Giant’s Gold
Take a look at the features of Giant’s Gold, and you will find there stacked symbols, wilds, scatters and the feature with free spins and multipliers.
First of all, the game has a Main Reel Set and a Colossal Reel Set. The former comes with four symbols per reel, while the latter has twelve. Together, they have a total of 100 paylines that can form on them. You will find that many of the symbols actually come in stacked, so quite often you get multiple wins from the same round.
The WILD Logo is inscribed into a piece of the green beanstalk, so it’s easy to figure out which one it is. This is a symbol capable of offering prizes of up to 500 coins by creating combinations directly, or it can be part of any other combo by acting as a substitute for regular icons.
The scatter symbol is reserved for the 1st, 3rd and 5th reels. The same reels host it on both reel sets.
Free Games Feature
You need the Golden Egg scatter to be present on at least 9 positions. The scatters can land on the three reels of the main set, on the three reels of the colossal set, or it can be a mix of reels from both sets which host them. Get as many Golden Eggs as you can, and the free spins can increase in number. Up to 100 free games are won this way.
While the free spins are in use, the Colossal reels will get wins with a 2x multiplier applied to them. The free spins can also be retriggered.
Betting options and jackpots
The betting system uses 50 coins, where one coin is enough to activate 2 paylines. You can use coins that are worth up to $2, so the bets reach $100 at most.
The game will give you up to 500 coins, provided that you land a full combo of five wilds. The rewards in cash would reach $1,000 at best.
Design and symbols
The game is attractive whenever the themed symbols come into play, especially since the main character is a cute girl and not a farmer’s boy anymore. However, there are some symbols which are not themed, the poker cards. These appear far too often as far as I’m concerned. The small set of reels takes the left side, while the colossal reel set is on the right. An image of the beanstalk and the house of the farmer are visible at the top, on the left.
Symbols: Wild Vine (500 coins, wild), Golden Egg (scatter), Girl (250 coins), Giant (200 coins), Cow (150 coins), Goose (100 coins), Harp (100 coins), Money Bag (100 coins), Ace (50 coins), King (50 coins), Queen (50 coins) and Jack (50 coins).
Is It Worth Playing?
I enjoyed the Jack and the Beanstalk theme, along with the replacement of the boy with the attractive girl, but the slot has even more to offer. It’s unusual thanks to its layout and the way it plays, so it should be a good game for those that are bored with regular slot machines.
Giant’s Gold can be found at any WMS casino, where you get a chance to play it for real money or in free mode.
