Lunaris Slots

LunarisThe creator of the Lunaris slot machine is a developer called WMS. If you’re wondering whether the kind of experience available inside is something typical for them, the answer is that yes, it’s not that unusual of a game for them, even though most developers offer nothing of the sort. The two sets of reels of different sizes insure that the game will give you a different experience than you might be used to if you haven’t tried WMS slots before. The theme is built around the Moon and around various constellations.

Lunaris has two sets of reels, each one with 5 columns. The total number of paylines reaches 100. Mystery features, bonus games, free spins, scatters and wilds are all present inside. As for the big prize, it’s $1,250.

Features of Lunaris

The unusual layout and the way it works can be one of the major features of Lunaris, along with the various symbols with extra roles that are in use (wild, Reveal, Mystery and Bonus).

You will find that two different slot machines exist together in this game. The regular sized slot gets the left half of the screen, with four symbols per reel. The so called Colossal slot machine has the right half and each reel gets twelve symbols. Both sets of reels are going to often get stacked sets of symbols, so when you do get lucky, you get lots of prizes at the same time.

A representation of the Moon, but with a Female face in the middle, was chosen for the wild feature. This symbol appears on all the reels of the regular slot machine, but only on the reels 2 to 5 on the Colossal set. With the exception of the Bonus and Mystery symbols, wilds can substitute for any other icon. When they form their combinations on the smaller slot machine, they can even pay up to 250 coins.

Mystery Feature

The Mystery symbol has a butterfly on it, and it appears on the main reel set on the 1st, 3rd and 5th reels. For each Mystery icon that makes an appearance there, you are offered a number of Reveal icons on the Colossal set, symbols which also have butterflies on them. The number of Reveal icons is either 20, 15, 10, 8 or 5. These new icons get placed on the reels of the Colossal set at random and then they all turn into the same symbol, chosen at random from the paytable. It can even be the wild that is chosen, but it can’t be the Bonus icon.

Free Games Feature

The Caterpillar Bonus symbol is the last special symbol that is offered. It’s a scatter symbol, which will be present both in the Colossal and the Main set of reels. In both cases, the reels 1, 3 and 5 are the ones that can get it.

Lunaris-free-spins

The game needs 3+ scattered Caterpillars to get you the free spins. You can win from 8 to 25 free spins, for 3 to 6 Bonus scatters. You also receive cash prizes, between 2x and 25x the total bet.

Betting options and jackpots

Each coin you wager is sufficient to cover two paylines, so for 100 lines you have to use 50 coins. Since a coin has a minimum value of $0.01 and a maximum of $5, the biggest bet you can place, if you can afford it, is at $250.

Both the wild and the symbol with the red flowers can offer 250 coins when they form a five symbol combo. That’s a $1,250 top prize.

Design and symbols

The slot is unusual because of the two sets of reels and their different sizes, but you can see that the quality is there in most symbols. There is the odd exception as well, mostly when the card suits are involved, but everything else looks very good. The best part is probably the background image, with the Full Moon shown above a lake, with trees and fireflies all around.

Is It Worth Playing?

The unusual gameplay style that is in use here will be at least worth a look for most players, especially since the graphics are also quite pretty.

The Lunaris slot machine is offered through the WMS platform, so if you want to play it for real or just to practice, look out for casinos that use it.
